PRESIDENT’S ROUNDTABLE Formerly known as the Chairman’s Roundtable, established in 1988 to recognize individuals, businesses, foundations, and organizations that sustain the mission of the YMCA of Greater Long Beach and its branches through their annual contribution of $1,000- $2,499. HERITAGE CLUB The YMCA of Greater Long Beach Heritage Club was founded in 1965 and the first Heritage Club dinner was held in 1972. The Heritage Club allows the YMCA to thank those individuals who have included the Y in their long-range plans or made a substantial gift to the YMCA Endowment Fund during their lifetime. CAPITAL BUILDER Each year, the YMCA of Greater Long Beach recognizes supporters who contribute to essential capital projects throughout the year. Regardless of generation, the desire for community is intrinsic to human nature. The bonds of friends and family unite us into communities that seek health and happiness for ourselves and for our children. This search for community, for finding in all of us the common goodwill, gave birth to the YMCA 178 years ago in London, England, and here in the city of Long Beach 40 years later. The growth that followed and continues today is a testament to the power of the YMCA to fill this basic human need. DISTINGUISHED TRIANGLE Established in 2008, the Distinguished Triangle was developed to honor those who make an annual contribution of $2,500 and above. YMCA Team, Receiving financial aid from the YMCA has been a blessing for my son and me. As a single dad, it was initially challenging to afford afterschool care for my child. My son has special needs and I can’t leave him in anyone’s care. Thanks to the YMCA, I know my son gets the care and attention he needs in a safe, nurturing environment. He can continue his school day here and I can finish work knowing that he is in capable hands. I like that he can participate in an inclusive program and he has even had other kids say ‘goodbye’ to my son as we leave. Thank you, YMCA donors, for your assistance and the gift you gave us- our second family, our YMCA family. – Dad of 7 year old We could not do it without YOU!
