The Torto Group was established in 1989, the brainchild of the Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ang Aik Hwa. From humble beginnings operating within a small residential house, the Group today has expanded to a modern establishment in Northern Malaysia, carving a niche for ourselves as a leading confectionery producer in the region.
Our Vision We ultimately aspire to build on our successes and high standards in the Butter Cookies and Wafer Rolls industry to become an Industry Leader in the Asian region and beyond.

Our Plants
Cutting-edge Facility The office cum plant covers a built-up area of 12,000 sq.ft. and is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery to meet increasing demands. At present time, we have a total of 8 production lines for our Butter Cookies and Wafer products, bringing the total production capacity for Butter Cookies and Wafer Roll up to 28,000kg and 8,000kg per day respectively. Our Distinguished Brands The Group’s extensive product range can be categorised under three main brands – TORTO, WHITE CASTLE, ROYAL CLASSIC and ITARO, all of which have become household names, renowned for their top-notch quality.
Torto Products marketed under the TORTO brand comprise consumer-ready food items including the popular Wafer Cubes and Wafer Rolls. Through the years, TORTO products have enjoyed a ubiquitous presence on household tables across Malaysia, and the TORTO name has become synonymous with tasty goodness.
WHITE CASTLE The WHITE CASTLE brand, on the other hand, focuses on Danish styled Butter Cookies and Cream Wafer Rolls that are well received, both in the local and international markets, reinforcing our niche as the first and leading Butter Cookies “Specialist” in Malaysia.
ROYAL CLASSIC ROYAL CLASSIC is another premium cookie brand, focuses on Danish-style butter cookies and cream wafer rolls that are well-received here and abroad. Currently the products are being distributed in Malaysia and exported to Middle East, Asia and Americas.
ITARO ITARO is another new brand extension introduced in 2022 producing high quality Wafer Rolls. ITARO JUMBO STICK makes a hit in the market with remarkable response ever since its first launch.
Certifications To date, we have also received ISO 22000:2005, HALAL, HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP, ISO 9001:2000, MeSTI (Food Safety is the Responsibility of the Industry) as well as other relevant Food Safety Management System and Quality Control certifications.
Awards The numerous awards and certifications that we have garnered through the years are a reflection of our commitment to quality and excellence. Among others, Torto Food was awarded the Golden Bull Awards 2011 (Winner of the 9th Outstanding SMEs Award) and Top Team 50 Enterprise Awards Malaysia 2011.
