The San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC) have disclosed records of internship opportunities they had offered to college/university students in the State of California. The recently disclosed records of (internship opportunities offered by) the SFAC go back to October 27th 1995. When disclosing these records, the SFAC confirmed that no international student completed an internship with them as part of his/her Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and/or Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Michael A. Ayele (a.k.a) W was between January and May 2011 an intern of the Callaway County government in the State of Missouri. Via e-mail dated March 07th 2022, the Department of Justice (DOJ) Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have informed Michael A. Ayele (a.k.a) W that Westminster College (Fulton, Missouri) had extended an invitation to their then Director William Webster on August 29th 1986. The invitation extended by Westminster College (Fulton, Missouri) on August 29th 1986 to William Webster came approximately 5 (five) months after the rape and murder of Jeanne Ann Clery. In another email (dated November 12th 2021), the FBI have informed Michael A. Ayele (a.k.a) W that they had transferred the case of Jeanne Ann Clery rape and murder to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on June 11th 1992. Via postal correspondence sent to Michael A. Ayele (a.k.a) W, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) have denied ever being transferred the case of Jeanne Ann Clery rape and murder by the FBI. William Webster was Director of the FBI (from 1978 to 1987) and Director of the CIA (from 1987 to 1991). His father Thomas H. Webster is an alumnus of Westminster College (Fulton, Missouri). Michael A. Ayele (a.k.a) W has attended Westminster College as a full-time undergraduate student between January 2010 and May 2013. He became an alumnus of Westminster College on December 31st 2016.

According to the April 27th 2022 report published by the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR), [1] “race is the likely reason why Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) officers use higher rates of more severe force against Black individuals compared to white individuals in similar circumstances;” [2] “MPD’s covert social media accounts were used to conduct surveillance, unrelated to criminal activity, and to falsely engage with Black individuals, Black leaders, and Black organizations;” [3] the MPD and the City of Minneapolis have a history of withholding exculpatory evidence even after an “Entry of Appearance” (or a request for information) has been filed in a criminal case where police brutality is very much at play.

Internship Available DRAFT
San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC)
Civic Art Collection (CAC) Intern 3/17/2016
Summer 2016

Description

SFAC is charged with the goal to preserve the many artworks accessioned by the city of San
Francisco. The City’s collection of monuments and contemporary artworks is valued in excess of $80
million dollars with over 3,000 works in the collection, from historic monuments to contemporary
works. The CAC Internship will provide an opportunity to assist with projects related to the
cataloguing, display, maintenance, and conservation of the Civic Art Collection. Recently, the city
completed a mulit-year inventory project that has been an integral planning tool for the team. The
city uses a collections management database (EmBARK) to organize details of artworks in addition
to maintaining an extensive physical archive. SFAC is responsible for managing various types of
projects to care for the collection including typical maintenance, conservation treatment
(stabilization/restoration), and assessment projects.

The collections team is underway with projecting long-term management and conservation needs for
this diverse collection. This internship position will assist with completion of phase II of this project,
and tasks will include: researching materials and treatment histories of individual monuments,
correlating data to identify trends to anticipate conservation needs, geo-locating monuments for
future mapping, and updating information in the collections management database.

The internship will expose students to multiple facets of public art collections care and planning
long-term preservation goals. In addition to the project listed above the intern will assist with other
ongoing projects as needed including a public mural investigation and various conservation
stabilization and restoration projects. During the internship, the student will be mentored by the
collections team and learn software skills (Embark database), best practices for collection care, write
condition reports, how to plan and manage conservation projects, and project budgeting.

Eligibility

The intern must be graduate-level status, and have computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint) and the Adobe Design Suite (Acrobat and Photoshop are most relevant).
Experience with collections management systems preferred, and any experience with database
systems or large inventories is desired. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and
collaborative with good communication skills. Academic credit will be arranged. Internship will be
structured around a 40 hour work with, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility in reporting
times. This position will be paid 20$/hour for six to eight weeks starting June 6th with some
flexibility for the end date.

February 12, 2005

Dear Linda Ellis:

I am writing this letter on behalf of the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery (SFACG) to

express my appreciation for and her performance as an intern with the

Gallery.

It has been my pleasure to work professionally with intermittently over the

past six months, forwarding the success of the Gallery in our commitment to support

emerging and mid-career artists from the Bay Area region. Through its dynamic programs in

our three Gallery spaces (the Gallery at 401 Van Ness, the Art in City Hall program and our

window space in View 155) the Gallery serves a broad audience of artists, residents,

tourists, students, arts professionals and educators. During the past six months,

has played in role in over 7 exhibitions in all three spaces as well as our annual

fundraiser, Commission 04. With a small staff, interns play a very important role in our

Gallery.

is skilled at producing quality work in areas of administration as well as the
manual work associated with installation and de-installation of exhibits. She exhibits all of
the qualities we look for in interns, personally and professionally.

It is with pleasure that I recommend for the Museum Studies Program at San

Francisco State University. Please feel free to call me if you have further questions.

Sincerely,

Meleksah Henderson
Gallery Manager of San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery
