Milestone Idea Card
‘I am number confident to 5’

This is a simple and fun way to build your child’s number
confidence to 5. If you have Lego or Duplo blocks in the
house, write or stick numbers on the side or alternatively

reuse boxes from your recycling bin.

Ask your child to put the number blocks in order starting
from number 1. Once they have mastered counting

forwards you can challenge them to count backwards
from 5, then ask questions like what is the number before

5? The number after 2?
