‘I can describe the features of shapes such as
edges, corners, curves and sides’

Draw out shapes and discuss features – talk about how a
square has 4 sides and 4 corners, a triangle has 3 sides
and 3 corners.

Compare shapes and chat about differences, a circle has
no corners but is curved all the around.

Introduce new shapes trapezium, hexagon and have fun
counting the edges and corners.

You could make this into a lovely snap game.
You can also do a shape hunt and ask your child to find
