Elderbank Early Years Newsletter

21st April 2020

Dear Parent/Carers,
We hope you and your family are well and adapting to new routines
during this uncertain time. As term 4 begins I would like to share
this very important message from the Early Years team…….

The heart and soul of our Early Years are the children and families
that come each day, each and every one of you is valued and
important. During these uncertain times, we want to continue to be
involved in the life of your child/children and support their learning
journey. Whilst we cannot see their little faces every day we are
going to use a range of different ways to support them. This will
include:

 Milestone activities tailored to your child’s developmental stage.
 Weekly phone calls from a member of the EY team.
 Links to favourite activities, experiences within the EY.
 Weekly themed challenges.
 An EY blog on the website –

https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/na/elderbankprimaryandearlyyears/

We would love for you to share photographs of the children for
the blog, these can be linked to the suggested tasks or anything
else they have achieved/enjoyed doing. Please email your
photographs to Mrs Carruthers on [email protected]
ayrshire.sch.uk

There is no pressure to complete any of these suggested experiences!
The most important thing to remember just now is that we are all
dealing with unprecedented change in our lives and our focus is to
ensure everyone’s health and well-being during this situation.
Learning through play and involvement in real life experiences is the
approach used within the EY and this is the best way for children at
this stage to learn.

.

The Early Years team are here to support you as a family throughout
this difficult time, please do not hesitate to ask for advice, help or
support if required.

Take care and stay safe,
Mrs Carruthers,
Senior Early Years Practitioner
