Without a doubt, the title with the least ambiguous meaning, yet also the one with responsibilities that
can vary widely depending on the size of the organization. In a start up, this position can answer phones
and draw no salary; in a multimillion dollar established company, this position can enjoy a compensation
package of millions.

Duties:

The President defines or supports the organization’s mission, vision and values. Responsible for
the strategic leadership of the company by establishing long range goals, strategies, plans and
policies. A mature, forward thinking, decisive individual who possesses a “big picture” perspective
as well as the ability to deal with the myriad details required to run a company. This position
eludes traditional salary range parameters, because factors including the company’s sales, profit
