Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Ladies and gentlemen. I’m very pleased for being here. First of all, let me introduce myself. My name’s
………………………………. Or you can call me ……… I’m ……. Years old. I’m studying in grade 10 at Borai Wittayakom
school. Today I’m going to tell a story about “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.
Once upon a time, a king and queen ruled over a distant land. The queen was very kind and all the people
adored her. The only sadness in her life, she wished for a child but didn’t have one. One winter’s day, the queen
was sitting near the window and knitting woolen clothes. Suddenly she pricked her finger and a drop of blood fell
down on the snow outside. As she looked at the blood fall on the snow it turned into a baby face. She was surprised
and said to god.
“Oh snow god, I wish that I had a daughter that had skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as
ebony,” said the queen.
After that, the queen became pregnant but at the same time, she feel sick. The queen gave birth to a beautiful
baby girl who had skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony.
“You are as white as snow, I name you Snow White.” said the queen. Then the queen died.
For few years after the queen died, the king got married again. The new queen was very beautiful, but she was very
arrogant. She owned a magic mirror that predicts and tells the truth whenever and whatever she wants.
“Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the most beautiful/fairest of all?” demanded the queen.
“Oh my queen, you are the fairest of all,” said the mirror.
As time passed by, Snow White became prettier and fairer than ever before. She became the most beautiful girl in
all the kingdoms. The stepmother started to feel jealous of her beauty.
“Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the most beautiful/fairest of all?” demanded the queen.
“You, my queen, are fair and beautiful. But Snow White is even fairer than you,” said the mirror.
“How dare you say that!” said the queen.
“Soldier! Soldier!” the queen shouted. “Sir, yes sir!” said the soldier.
“Take Snow White to the woods and kill her. And bring me her heart as proof.” the queen ordered.
“Yes, my lady.” said the soldier.
The queen asked Snow White to go into the woods and bring back some flowers.
The huntsman took Snow White into the forest but found himself unable to kill her.
“Oh, my princess. Your stepmother ordered me to kill you. But I can’t kill a beautiful and kind girl like you. Run
away as far as possible and never turn back again.” said the soldier.
“Oh, kind man. My mother will punish you if you don’t kill me,” said Snow White.
“I will tackle her somehow but now you have to go.” said the soldier.
Snow White ran as far as she could. Huntsman hunted a wild boar and presented the boar’s heart to the queen.
The queen was so happy to see that.
Snow White was alone in the forest, She didn’t know what to do or where to go.
Suddenly she saw the little house and went inside. Inside the house, everything was small but tidy.
There was a little table with a tidy, white tablecloth and seven plates with food on it.
Snow White was so hungry, she ate a few vegetables and a little bread and drank milk from a little cup. She was
exhausted after wandering in the forest, so she lay down on one of the little beds and fast fell asleep.
In the meantime, the Seven Dwarfs were heading home from a long day of work. They opened the door.
“Who was sitting in my chair?” said Doc.
“Who has been eating from my plate?” said Dopey.
“We'd better check upstairs,” said Grumpy.
The seven dwarfs found a beautiful girl lying there asleep.
“Oh good heaven!” said Happy.
“Who are you?” said Sneezy.
Snow White bolted awake. The Seven Dwarfs could tell she was as surprised as they were.
“My name’s Snow White, who are you?” said Snow White.
“I’m Bashful, I’m Doc, I’m Dopey, I’m Grumpy, I’m Happy, I’m Sleepy, and I’m Sneezy.” said all dwarves.
“Why are you here?” said Sleepy.
“My stepmother had tried to get the huntsman to kill me, the huntsman had set me free, and I could never go back
home again,” said Snow White.
“Stay here, with us,” said Bashful.
“That’s sweet,” said Snow White. “But if I were to stay here at your home, I would do something for all of you.”
“You can do housework,” said Sneezy.
“Keeping the house clean will be easy,” said Snow White, “as long as we all pitch in. I will let everyone know what
part they can do, and I will do my share too, of course.”
“That’s fair,” said Happy.
The next morning before they left for work, the Seven Dwarfs warned Snow White “You mustn’t open the door to
anyone.” The princess nodded in agreement, and the Dwarfs left the house. The princess prepared a good hot
meal for the Seven Dwarfs when they returned home.
Back at the castle, the Queen marched up to her mirror. “Mirror, mirror on the wall," she demanded. "Who is the
fairest of all?”
“Snow White is the fairest of them all!” said the Magic Mirror.
“That’s impossible!” screamed the Queen. “The girl is no longer alive!”
“Snow White living in the cottage of the Seven Dwarfs.” said the Magic Mirror.
When the Seven Dwarfs were away at work, there was a knock on the door.
“Who is it?” said Snow White.
“It’s only a poor old woman, it’s raining out here, my dear, Please let me in.” said the old woman.
So Snow White opened the door.
“Take a look at this big red apple,” said the old woman, “Lovely, my dear, isn’t it?”
“I would like very much to buy your apple,” said Snow White. “But I have no money.”
“That fine comb in your hair will make a good trade,” said the old woman.
“Well, all right then!” said Snow White. She gave the comb to the old woman. Snow White took a big bite.
Alas, the fruit was poisoned! At once, Snow White fell to the ground in a deep sleep.
When the seven dwarves came home in the evening they found Snow White lying on the ground. She wasn’t
breathing at all. She was dead. The Seven Dwarfs gently lifted her into a glass coffin. Day and night they kept
watching over her.
One day, the Prince happened to pass through. Ever since he had learned that Snow White was missing at the
castle, he was searching for her, far and wide. Now he had finally found her but in such a state! The Prince pulled
open the glass coffin. Her face seemed so fresh, even in that deep sleep.
He gently took one of Snow White's hands in his own and kissed it. At once, Snow White’s eyes opened! With
Love's First Kiss, the evil Queen's spell was forever gone. They returned to the Prince's kingdom and lived happily
ever after.
This story teaches many lessons. One of the most important lessons it teaches is the danger of vanity and don’t
trust strangers.
