An Unforgettable Experience
24 March 2014, a date I’ll never forget in my life. I remember vividly that day I was at the Kuala Lumpur International
Airport, leaving for China to further my studies after getting my scholarship. I waved goodbye to my parents and boarded
the flight MH333. I sat alone at the window seat and looked out of it. As the plane was going up higher and higher, the
scene before me became smaller and smaller.
When the plane was up in the air for some time, I closed my eyes as my flight would take about six hours to arrive at
the destination. Suddenly, the plane jerked and shook frighteningly. The pilot warned us to stat at our seat the seat and
fastened our safety belts. Panics and screams from the passengers were heard when the plane started to go downward. My
heart was beating faster and faster. I was sure it was going to crash! I quickly said a prayer and the next second, I was
unconscious.
When I opened my eyes, I was lying on a bush in unknown jungle. There were absolute silence as dead bodies were
scattered around me. All the passengers and crews were dead except me. I had no pain, but my feet were completely numb.
I stood up and fell. Then, I stood up again and realised one of my legs was broken.
I walked limply and tried to find a mobile phone to make emergency call. I managed to find one but there was no
signal in the jungle. I took some food and water and tried to walk out of the jungle, I relied on wild fruits and dew when I
ran out of supplies. After struggling in the jungle for five days, I finally saw a village and a boy. But I was too weak and
collapsed.
When I opened my eyes again, I was lying on a bed. The doctor and nurses cheered happily when they saw me alive. I
was grateful and thankful to them for saving my life. I realise how lucky I am as I was the only survivor of the air crash. It
is really an unforgettable experience for me.

Write your story.
A Weird Dream
One sleepless night, my parents had gone for vacation, and I was alone in my room. I was burning the
midnight oil for my school examination that was just around the corner.
Suddenly, I heard a knock on my door. I opened the door, and I was frozen. I couldn’t believe my eyes as
there was an alien with seven-feet height who stood before me. He had one eye and he was wearing an armour
like Roman soldier. Before I could open my mouth, the alien gripped my arm and put a finger against its lip. It
closed the door and stepped inside my house. It scanned my house. I was flabbergasted and my heart was
beating faster than ever.
Outside my house, I heard noises. To my terror I saw even more aliens through the window. I struggled to
run away but the alien was so strong that it held me tightly. It brought me to the room and hid me in the
wardrobe. I could see the other aliens entered my house and fought with the Roman-like alien through the
crack. They fought fearlessly. Out of the blue, an alien suddenly opened the wardrobe and found me. It dragged
me outside and I screamed. The Roman-like alien heard me and came to my rescue.
Then I heard a gunfire, the aliens were distracted, and they went outside the house. The Roman-like took
me to flight immediately. We ran and ran until we reached the edge of the jungle. I was exhausted and I
couldn’t run anymore, so I fell unconsciously.
When I regained my consciousness, I was lying on my bed in my house. Nothing seemed had happened
before. I’m not sure if I was dreaming or if I had really met the alien. I’m really puzzled.

Write your story which is entitled:
A Mysterious Old Man
Your story should include:
• a description of the old man
• express how was the old man mysterious
Write your story.
A Mysterious Old Man
Sylvia could not really decipher what the doctor was saying. It was after that when she was
alone in her ward that everything sank in. She was in need of a new liver to keep her alive. It was
easy to say it like that like a good and healthy liver could be found in the next street corner.
Unfortunately, it was not so easy as she would first of all have to find a donor that would give away
part of his or her liver to her and next to ensure that the kind-hearted person was in fact a match.
Mother was in the next room and Sylvia could hear the muffled sound of her talking to her dad
in between sobs. She knew that it looked really bad and there was no way she could find a donor so
quicky. She knew she had to leave it to fate that will determine what happens after that. She was
also bracing herself for the worse when the phone rang. A living liver donor has been found. The
donor was an old man who was a complete stranger to her and her family.
On the day of surgery Sylvia could not contain her gratitude. The old man did not have to make
the sacrifice of going through the life-threatening surgery that saved her life. Th old man till the
resent day remained the mysterious old man as she only knew him by Uncle Ahmad the mas who
died so that she could live.

Your teacher has asked you to write a story for the school
magazine. The title of the story is:
A Lucky Mistake
Your story should include:
• a description of the mistake
• how the mistake turned out to be a lucky one
Write your story.
A Lucky Mistake
I have never travelled by air before and when the time came for me to get a ticket and to fly on one,
the whole experience made me quite nervous. I am working in a pharmaceutical company and is a junior
manager of my branch. I have been lucky for so long until the time came when I had to attend a meeting in
Japan. That made driving impossible.
I booked my flight and chose the airline because it was a really good one as shown bt the passengers’
satisfaction ratings and by the record of never having any plane crash. I travelled in the economy class from
Kuala Lumpur International Airport and had to continue my journey on a connecting flight from Singapore
that would take me to Narita International Airport in Tokyo. However, to my dismay my name was not listed
in the list of passengers on the flight.
The airline admitted their mistake and apologized to me profusely. I was nervous because of this
mistake. I was alone in a strange country, with nowhere to go and not knowing where my luggage was at that
point. The mistake then turned out to be a lucky one as I was provided with a first-class hotel room for me to
wait in for my connecting flight which was going to be in 24 hours. The airline found my luggage and it was
sent to my room later that day. The good news did not just end there. My flight would also be upgraded to a
first-class seat. Also, my hotel room in Tokyo would also be upgraded to an executive suite all compliments of
the airline that made the lucky mistake.
