Storytelling and Singing Competition

Introduction

On 6 April 2022, Team D has organized a competition where there
are two categories, named storytelling and singing. While the
team that involved with the competition is Team B of 10 people
and is divided into 5 people per category. The competition was
held at 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at BK1 1.8 of Politeknik Tuanku Syed
Sirajuddin. There were 3 jurors judging the participants.

Singing
There were 5 participants who participated in the singing
competition and only one person was selected as the winner and
the winner is Raja Huzairi. During the event, the participants
worked hard to win. Everyone who participated in the competition
could sing solo or duo. The other rules are childish song is not
allowed and participants must wear appropriate clothing.

Storytelling

There were 5 participants who participated in Storytelling
Competition from Team B and only one was selected to be the
winner. The winner of Storytelling is Nurul Qurratul Aini. The
competition must be from the right story source, standup comedy
and so on. This competition is also accompanied by solo or duo.
Apart from that, this competition also has a time limit, individual
or a group is given 7 minutes to speak and the story to be told is
not too long.

Singing Competition

This singing competition has its own rules.
Before we participate in the competition, we
have to fill in the google form on the link
provided, join the first round which is the
elimination round, and if selected for the
final round, we have to bring our own minus
one music and wear decent clothes. The
prize for this singing competition is not in
the form of food but the form of money. The
first winner got RM100, the second winner
got RM80, the third place got RM50 and
the consolation got RM30. Other
participants who did not get a prize, got
RM10 as duit raya. The first round is run
online and is an elimination round. All
participants are required to send a video of
the song online either direct to the telegram
group or publish the video in Youtube and
send the link in the telegram group. The
song that I sang in this round was "you are
my sunshine" while picking up my ukulele. I
chose this song because the lyrics and
chords to play this song is easy. One day
before the final round, we got a good news
because all participant can compete on
final round. And I got a consolation during
the final round.

#ELCARGAMES 7

ELCAR is an English carnival that
were held in the past 18 May 2022 at
Polybizz PTSS. There are many
activities happen during this event
and one of it is ELCAR games.

ELCAR games were organize by
English Club’s member that were
divided by groups where each group
conduct 2 games.

There are four groups which are group A,B,C and D. For group D, we also conduct
2 games which are “True Or False” and “Spelling Bee”. Students who participate in
our game will get stamp and if they collect enough of stamp, they will get prizes.

CARNIVAL’S FLOW

There is no event that didn’t start with a preparation, all of group members come
early at 7 a.m. to prepare our booth. The polybizz were crowded with happy PTSS
students at 8.30 a.m. that come to play games during their recess to release stress.
We close our booth at 12 a.m. and gather to eat before finishing the carnival.

TRUE OR FALSE Spelling Bee

True or false is a game Spelling bee is a game
where the player will be where the player need to
ask some random spell the word that
question and they need organizer give. For this
to decide whether the game we will give the
answer is true or false. player the list of word for
Among 30 question them to remember in 2
they need to answer at minutes. To complete this
least 5 right answer to game, player must get 5
complete the game and correct answer. This game

CHILDHOOD FRIEND

Doorsteps were made for us to meet at.
Within the time frame that your mother used to let us roam the neighbourhood,
We would make do with every landmark we found.
Grass was always greener when we sat together,
And the skies felt a little brighter than they do today.
Though you moved on to write new stories with the world,
I still relive life like it was 10 years ago,
Whenever I walk past that grey house of yours.
Wherever you are today,
The core memories you've created with me,
Will stay vivid until we meet again someday.

STORY

Respect - Ainaa Binti Abdul Rahaman

Hi, assalammualaikum and a very good
evening to everyone, today I would like to
share a personal experience with all of you
today. The story about respecting each
other around you.

I am making the choice to share it
nonetheless, because I believe that this
story is, at its essence, about people
treating each other with respect.

One day, there was a girl, she is a cheerful
and friendly person, the kind that can be
friends with everyone, but that day, she had
a problem that disturbed her mood, when
she was in class, she became a judge but
she was not excellent in English, but she
tried to learn how to speak English in US
accent but she get one word satirize from
one of her friends, that she cannot speak in
British accent but that is fine. Everyone has
their own advantages and disadvantages.

As civilized people, we should not ruin
someone else emotions with our words. You
need to respect everyone around you, so
everyone will respect you too. Don’t hurt
people with your words. Words can cut
deeper than a knife and the wound can last
longer.

So, what is the moral of this story?

Respect others as a human being or for who
they are. It is one of the core moral values.
Someone who knows how to respect others
is someone who has an admirable attitude.

A Class Test

On a bright Monday morning, Madam Rita declared that she
would hold a very difficult test in the following week. She also
said that the one who scored the least would be punished. The
class shuddered at this declaration. Olsen, Mika and Jack started
planning the way they would study for the test. Billy just sat in
one corner, lazily eating his cookies. As usual, he was
overconfident.
“Oh, I will study for everything in one day. “he boasted ,”just you
wait and watch.”
The night before the test, Billy lay awake all night to study. But
he found it was difficult to study everything in such a short time.
He panicked and got confused, but stayed up, hopping from one
lesson to another.
Finally it was the day of the test. Olsen, Mika and Jack began
writing. They looked very happy because they knew the answers
to most of the questions, but Billy hadn’t slept a wink the
previous night. At last, five minutes into the test, Billy fall asleep
and eventually failed the test
