การแจ้งเข้าพักที่โรงแรม (Checking in)

การลงทะเบียนโรงแรม (Hotel Registration) ความประทับใจของแขก
โรงแรมคือ การได้รับการต้อนรับ ตั้งแต่พนักงานประจําประตู (Doorman) พนักงานยก
กระเป๋า (bellboy or porter) และพนักงานต้อนรับ (receptionist) ที่หน้าเค้าเตอร์
โรงแรม บ่อยครั้งที่แขกมีเจตคติที่ดีต่อโรงแรมจากการต้อนรับครั้งแรก เนื่องจากแขกเดินทาง
มาจากบ้านมาเป็นระยะ ทางไกลสิ่งที่แขกทุกคนต้องการคือ การต้อนรับที่อบอุ่นและได้เข้า
ห้องพักเร็วที่สุด โรงแรมเปรียบเสมือนบ้าน หลังที่ 2 ของแขก

การลงทะเบียนเข้าพัก ( Check in ) นั้น การสนทนานั้นจะมีรูปแบบเป็น 2
ประเภทใหญ่ๆเลย คือ การลงทะเบียนเข้าพักแบบจองไว้ล่วงหน้า ( Have a
reservation ) และการไม่ได้ทำการจองไว้ล่วงหน้า ( walk in )
