A long time ago,in the island ofMindanao,
people lived in peace.

One day,fourhorrible monsters suddenly
appeared and devoured every human they
found in a shorttime.

Kurita,a monsterwith
many limbs,frequented
a mountain where rattan
grew.

Tarabusaw,an ugly creature
in the form ofman lived in
Mt.Matutun.

Pah,an enormous bird,
favored Mt.Bita.

And the DreadfulBird with seven
heads lived on Mt.Gurayn.

Upon hearing the story ofMindanao,
King Indarapatra begged his brotherSulayman
to save the land.

Indarapatra gave Sulayman a ring and a sword then
the king placed a sapling by his window which will
live ifSulayman lives,butdie ifSulayman dies.

Sulayman travelled to Mindanao and managed
to slay Kurita and Tarabusaw.

Then,he wentto Mt.Bita and struck Pah dead
butits severed wing fellon Sulayman and
crushed him.

Indarapatra saw the sapling wither.

Filled with revenge,he travelled swiftly to
Mindanao to search forhis brother.

He only saw the bones ofthe slain monsters
on the rattan-filled mountain and Mt.Matutun.

On Mt.Bita,Indarapatra found the bones ofPah
and the bones ofSulayman with his sword.

Indarapatra then used the jarofwatersent
from heaven to bring Sulayman back to life.

Sulayman was then broughtback to life and
the two brothers rejoiced as they were
reunited once again.

Sulayman then returned home butIndarapatra
continued to Mt.Gurayn where he killed
the lastmonster.

As the monsters were allslain,
peace and safety were restored to Mindanao.

Butdespite thatvictorious moment,
Indarapatra searched forpeople
who were stillin hiding.

Indarapatra then metan old woman who told him about
the surviving people living in a cave in the ground.

They wentto the cave where he found
the headman with his family and people.

When they found outwhatIndarapatra did forthem,
the headman gave his daughterto Indarapatra
in marriage.

Soon,the people came outofhiding
