When the goddessAlunsina reached maidenhood,
Kaptan,the king ofthe gods,decreed herto marry.

Alunsina married Datu PaubariofHalawod,
which angered hersuitors.

The suitors plotted to harm them,
leading to the god ofplains flooding Halawod.

The couple escaped with the help
ofSuklang Malayon,a goddess and

sisterofAlunsina.

The couple returned to the plains secretly after
the flood.Months later,Alunsina became pregnant
and gave birth to triplets.

Then,the High PriestBungot-Banwa performed the
rites ofthe gods forthe children’s good health

Afterthe ceremony,the wind came and suddenly,
the infants transformed into young men.

THE STORY OF LABAW DONGGON

Labaw Donggon,the eldest,asked for
magicalitems from his parents for
his long journey.

As he ventures out,Labaw Donggon kills
monsters along the way and then marries

Angoy Ginbitinan and Abyang Durunuun.

Labaw Donggon soon soughts the attention
ofSaragnayan’s bride,Malitong Yawa Sinagmaling

butSaragnayan defeated and imprisoned
Labaw Donggon.

Then,Angoy Ginbitinan gave birth to Aso Mangga,
while Abyang Durunuun gave birth
to Abyang Baranugon.

A few days aftertheirbirth,the two brothers then
journeyed to look fortheirfather.

When they reached Saragnayan’s home,Saragnayan
and Abyang Baranugon had a duelwhich

Abyang Baranugon won and saved his father.

THE STORY OF HUMADAPNON

Humadapnon,brotherofLabaw Donggon,
vowed revenge on Saragnayan’s men
as he heard the events thatoccured.

With Buyong Matanayon,a greatswordsman,
they gotstuck with the sorceress Piganun

forseven months before managing to escape.

The two reached Piniling Tubig where Humadapnon
rose up to the Datu’s task and succeeded.

Humadapnon married Datu's daughteras a prize.

THE STORY OF DUMALAPDAP

Dumalapdap,brotherofLabaw Donggon and
Humadapnon,leftwith Dumasig to marry the
Lubay-Lubyok Hanginun siMahuyokhuyokon.
They faced and defeated Balanakon and Uyutang.

Uyutang’s loud cry broke the ridge
they’re on thatbecame the island
ofBuglas (Negros)and Panay.

Dumalapdap married Lubay-Lubyok Hanginun si
Mahuyokhuyokan and wenthome.

Datu Paubariwas happy to have his three sons back
and prepared a feastin theirhonor.

Afterthe celebration,the brothers wentseparate ways.
Labaw Donggon wentnorth,Humadapnon wentsouth,

Dumalapdap wentwest,and Datu Paubariremained east.
