Inventory Manager

10010 – Weekly Checklist for Inventory Manager

Result Statement: To have a standard quick way to see and report responsibilities that are
completed by inventory manager on weekly basis. This report is
submitted to the director of admin (electronically sent or hard copy
given) by each Tuesday morning at 8 AM.

Responsible Position: Inventory Manager

This accomplishes two things:
1. Gives the inv. mgr a one-page representation and reminder of all
routine responsibilities
2. Gives the D of A (supervisor) the ability to quickly see that routine
inventory manager responsibilities are completed by due dates and
to standard.

Steps:
1. Each Tuesday morning print the “Weekly Checklist for Inventory
manager” found under “Forms – Misc” in the “procedures manual
(date)” under “staff shares” on all computers.
2. Inventory manager fills it out appropriately on a DAILY basis.
3. Keep this checklist in the front pocket of the inventory book or
maint/work order book, NO WHERE ELSE. Fill out throughout the
day, as you complete things. DO NOT keep it on a pile or laying on
your desk all day as this will create clutter. DO NOT file it away and
fill it out at the end of each day or week. The intention of this
checklist is a reference/reminder of things to be done so you don’t
have to remember everything.
4. Each Monday evening or Tuesday morning by 8 AM the checklist is
sent to or given to the D of A.

Drill/Quiz for “Weekly Checklist for Inventory Manager”:
1. What is the point of this checklist? What does it accomplish?
2. How does it make your job easier?
3. What could/would likely happen or has happened without this checklist?...specifically on the
monthly, quarterly, bi-annual responsibilities?
4. Where do you plan to keep this page on daily basis so it’s remembered but clutter on counters?
