Where are they now? A PAC client update Brianna first came to PAC in 2021, confused about her pregnancy and looking for options. She already had two children and was under pressure from the child’s father to terminate the pregnancy. PAC offered her medical services, including an ultrasound and pregnancy test, as well as invaluable mentoring and parenting classes. Ultimately, Brianna chose life. She was selected to receive a six-month stipend from the Knights of Columbus. Brianna was working but was underemployed. The stipend helped her to pay her rent and bills. Brianna is still in touch with the PAC advocates 2 ½ years later. “You changed our lives for the better! Thank you for all that you do!” L I F E L I N E S N E W S U P D A T E - F A L L 2 0 2 3 She is a full-time teacher and is currently training to be a certified Montessori teacher. The help from the Knights and PAC’s ongoing support were instrumental in helping Brianna while she was out of work due to a car accident. Brianna’s baby is now 2 ½ years old and is “a very vocal and wellspoken little lady, lol! She is like a gentle giant, bossy but very loving and affectionate at the same time.” We are doing alright; life still has its challenges, but we are making progress!” Naomi is now 2 1/2 years old. From the simple gift of a bundle of diapers to the epiphany of seeing a heartbeat in an ultrasound exam, our work in union for life shows the world that we are one in Christ. As I transition out of the Executive Director role for Pregnancy Aid Clinic, I wish to express my personal gratitude to the PAC Board of Directors for the privilege of leading this organization for the past five years. I thank the Archdiocese of Atlanta, our donors, volunteers, staff, and Respect Life ministries for your help guiding this ministry in tumultuous times. I look forward to supporting the next Executive Director in my work on the PAC board and witnessing the many hands of God in radical solidarity for the protection of life. God bless you all and have a blessed Thanksgiving! For Life From the desk of Lisa Regan, PAC Executive Director Lisa Regan Executive Director Dear Friends, Leaves are turning. Fall is in full regalia. Another year is coming to a close, and the season of Thanksgiving is upon us. Our gratitude list is long, as always. We are grateful for babies saved, families strengthened, pregnant women seeing hope and generations transformed. Our work together breathes life into this world and the next. In the words of Bishop Michael Burbidge, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishop’s Committee on Pro-Life Activities, we are called to show radical solidarity to women facing unexpected pregnancy. Note: Lisa Regan will step down as Executive Director of Pregnancy Aid Clinic at the close of this year. Look for an announcement in coming weeks with news of PAC’s next Executive Director. Best wishes to Lisa from the PAC Staff! We want to express our gratitude for your exceptional leadership and wish you the very best. 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master's joy.' -Matthew 25:23

If you or someone you know is wounded by abortion and would like more information, please call us at 404-717-5557. PATHoffersHOPE andHEALING after abortion By Liz Youngs, Program Director Roe may be no more, but abortion and its aftermath continues to be a tragic reality in our nation – in the women and men we work with, go to church with, our neighbors, and even our own friends and family. According to Support After Abortion, 9 out of 10 people don’t know that healing programs exist or where to find help after an abortion. This is the “WHO, WHAT and WHY” behind our work at PATH, Post Abortion Treatment & Healing. Life-Giving Grief, Mercy andHealing: Real Stories of Abortion Loss A recent survey of churchgoers conducted by George Barna for the Family Research Council found: "About one out of every six churched adults (16%) admitted to having paid for, encouraged, or had an abortion.” Think about all these abortion wounded women and men and their families who need to hear a message of hope, but feel like they have nowhere to go. On October 19th, St. Andrew Catholic Church hosted a special presentation entitled Grief, Mercy and Healing: Real Stories of Abortion Loss which was led by PAC’s Post Abortion Treatment & Healing leaders, Liz Youngs, Jody Duffy and Trinnie Siegel. The presentation included discussion of the negative impacts of abortion and why God’s healing is so important for those wounded by abortion. There was also discussion of navigating the post Roe era and the growing trend of the chemical abortion. Personal testimonies were shared by speakers, their deep regret and grief, seeking healing for their emotional and spiritual wounds, and embracing God’s mercy and forgiveness. Jody, Trinnie and Liz spoke at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church on October 19th.

The Quest: are you listening? Volunteer Spotlight: Susan Aballee AM 1160 The Quest, Atlanta’s only local metro-wide Catholic radio station, is on-air today because of Carol Tiarsmith. In 2015, while in Adoration, Carol clearly heard God asking her to “feed my poor.” Although it took her a couple of years to discern, Carol humbly responded to God’s call. Along with a team of founding members and volunteers, God’s vision for His people in Atlanta became a reality in April of 2018, when AM 1160 The Quest went live. AM 1160 The Quest is a listener-supported AM radio station that can be heard live on the radio from dawn to dusk, as well as, streamed 24/7 via The Quest Atlanta app and The Quest Atlanta website. Capable of reaching 5 million Atlanta commuters daily, the Quest is moving hearts and changing lives. Many listeners share how The Quest has impacted their faith. A common testimony by listeners in the community is “God speaks to me through this station.” With local programming such as The Family Room, Heaven’s Light, Legislation Made Simple and Honest to God podcast for young adults, The Quest has something for all those hungry for the truth and for God’s love and forgiveness. “Our goal is to expand local programming,” shared Carol, “so as to help build a strong Catholic community here in Atlanta.” AM 1160 The Quest has a symbiotic relationship with PAC. “As Catholics, we are pro-life, first and foremost.” Carol said. “Through our programing and messages of the sanctity of life, we support PAC’s work of protecting all God’s children.” Susan Abballe has been a PAC volunteer since 2020. Her mother had a passion for volunteering, and it was instilled in her from a young age. Her journey to PAC started at a March for Life in Washington DC. She was intrigued by the Knights of Columbus’ ultrasound initiative. They suggested she connect with her local KOC council, which ultimatley led her to PAC. Susan immediately knew she was in the right place. She said her heart was full seeing first-hand how women and families were impacted once they saw their babies in an ultrasound. Susan continues to donate her time to PAC and is a committed donor. She says she knows PAC is doing important work for life and sees how it directly affects clients. She believes PAC is very careful and conscientious about how their donations are spent. She was asked to chaperone an ultrasound appointment one day. “I was blown away when I saw the baby’s heartbeat. That cemented my ‘yes’ to PAC and confirmation that I was where God wanted me to be. I’m so thankful that I followed that path, and I know it was the right decision.” Carol Tiarsmith from the Quest (center) visited the PAC clinic in Roswell.
