2022 Year In Review
The Face of Stability
in a World of Confusion
Dear Friends,
The soft breath of the Holy Spirit has grown to a gushing wind. Can you feel it? The
momentum in the work to protect life is present and powerful. I am humbled to be a part
of it. Historic and sweeping legal changes in 2022 put the protection of preborn life on
the forefront. Yet the work to change hearts happens in our encounters with people. We
are the safe space, providing pause amidst confusion, allowing women, men and families
to realize their God-given dignity.
I cannot say enough about the work of our extended Pregnancy Aid Clinic family in 2022.
Donors, staff, volunteers, parishes, community groups and our treasured clients
stepped up in spades to honor life. You are all the face of stability in this often confusing
and divisive world. With our eye on the future, let’s also take a moment to reflect on
your incredible work in 2022:
Downtown Atlanta clinic opened in January
New medical leadership overseeing three clinics
8 new staff members on-boarded
Optimized services in response to abortion laws
Near doubling the number of post abortion healing inquiries
Exponential parenting class growth
Un-matched gala support
3 new ultrasound machines, thanks to the Knights of Columbus
Community Lunch and Learns educating on tools for family support
More abortion-minded women served than ever before
It’s an impressive list- thanks to you and Almighty God. May God continue to guide our
work to protect the sanctity of all human life. God bless you in 2023 and always.

Standing on Faith
Elva had just arrived in the US from Mexico
when she discovered she was pregnant. She
didn't have a doctor, a community, or an
idea of what to do. She found PAC's number
on a sign: "¿Embarazada y necesitas ayuda?"
- "Pregnant and in need of help?"
Elva went to PAC to receive a pregnancy test
and an ultrasound. At her appointment, she
was able to have a long discussion about her
needs and how PAC could help.
Working with Walking With Moms in Need at
a local parish, PAC connected Elva to
support. She found her community, and with
them, she welcomed her beautiful son into
the world this past November. Though Elva
still has struggles, she is filled with hope
from the community that surrounds her.

Keeping Heart Amid Medical Trauma
Derrykah came to PAC alone, vulnerable, and in
search of options. She chose life for her baby, found
comfort and embraced all PAC had to offer, until one
day she received a troubling call from her doctor
concerned about a marker for down syndrome.
“If you want to, you can terminate for medical
reasons,” they said. “I just started crying," Derrykah
said, "I can’t get that time back, I can’t get that
happiness back that I should’ve had because
everything was gonna be OK in the end.” But
Derrykah looked to PAC for support and
confidencein her choice. PAC’s love and care helped
her through the pregnancy and birth. In fact, baby
Shai was born completely healthy. Every baby is a
gift from God, and we are grateful the PAC team was
able to affirm Derrykah’s choice.

-Louise Davis Franklin, PATH Client
Louise had an abortion in 1971 after her boyfriend paid for it and removed himself from
her life. 50 years later at a high school reunion, seeing her highschool sweetheart unlocked
the years of grief she had been carrying alone. At the urging of a priest, Louise sought
healing from her abortion. Through PATH programs, she has found peace, compassion, and
the ability to forgive the young man who pressured her to end her pregnancy years ago.
Most importantly, PATH helped Louise open herself to the grace and mercy of God.

Persistence in Hope
Maria was a PAC student for the second time in 2022. She had
previously taken classes for a whole year, preparing for the birth of
her son, Sebastian, a few years ago. Tragically, Maria suffered a
miscarriage late in pregnancy. She donated all of her baby supplies
back to PAC and grieved with the PAC staff over her loss.
In 2022, when Maria found she was again pregnant, she ran to PAC,
seeking the community and education she knew she would find.
She said it was the way that the PAC staff chose to grieve with her
during her loss that showed her how she was capable of healing.
Maria's daughter, Ariel, was born in November 2022, a beacon of
hope in her life.
When we are able to show our clients their
inherent value, they are able to go on in their
lives and truly contribute to the community
they received from.
