This past weekend local residents came out to
enjoy great weather and great activities for their
kids.

Morning Sun Farms and
American Leadership
Academy hosted their
Trunk Or Treat event that
resulted in a great turnout.

They kept the event “extra spooky” and had
limited lighting so it gave the kids a more Hal-
loween feel to it while keeping everyone safe in
ALA’s parking lot.

A lot of families were there with their trunks
open handing out candy to all the kids that at-
tended.

Over at the Latter-day Saints church on Gary
Road located behind Walmart, a great event
was taking place that had an excellent turnout
with plenty of kids, and some adult, in cos-
tume.

After a 6 week season, the Junior High Ameri-
can Leadership Academy Ironwood Warriors
went on to defeat La Paloma Central out of
Tucson to capture the State Championship.
The game was held at ALA Gilbert October
28th at 3:30 pm. The Warriors started out
strong with an early touchdown by Parker De-
Nero (#33).
With the offense going strong the defense
came out and showed their own strength with
multiple plays stopped by the line, second-
ary and two turn overs by star player Andrew
Fearn (#84). Tanner Hale (#10) threw for
multiple receptions but the highlight was his
footwork when backed into a corner and the
ability to execute. This team, both offense and
defense was a true force to be reckoned with
