About us













The California STEM Institute for Innovation & Improvement (CSI³) was designed to increase the number of
credentialed teachers in STEM education and to bring STEM to the forefront of K-16 education through
leadership and service.

Through all our programs, we systematically address the shortage of STEM Teachers in high-need schools in and
around the Los Angeles area and across the state. We offer all of our program participants ongoing advising
and financial and academic support. Above all, we offer our participants the opportunity to make a difference
where they are needed most.

A Teacher Assistant during your first year of teaching


Financial Assistance: $10,000 (plus $1,000 bonus!) for APPLE & $24,000 for REAL

Program Cr eria All requirements must be met before official entry into the
program. Candidates may be conditionally admitted presuming all
requirements are met before courses begin.

ITEP students or applicants with teaching experience (as teachers
of records or long-term substitute teaching) or prior credential
coursework are currently not eligible for our programs, but we
encourage you to apply to the College of Education Program.
