Creating Exceptional Experiences & Memories That Last

Where Fazio meets Jones

Few golf course designers working today are better known, admired and as well matched
to the Daniel Island experience as Tom Fazio and Rees Jones. Although each has his own
style, the two share many similar philosophies, including a love of tradition and a deep
respect for the indigenous landscape. Together, their work has shaped the Daniel Island
Park neighborhood and the club itself. A Fazio course or a Jones course - either would
make a golf community remarkable. Yet, Daniel Island is the country’s only private club
to boast championship level courses by both designers playing from one clubhouse. The
club’s golf members eagerly avail themselves of these exceptional courses, along with the
practice facility, specially designed and constructed junior tees, and a superior golf shop.

The Beresford Creek Course

Designed by Tom Fazio, the Beresford Creek course is ranked one of the Top 40 residential
courses in the nation. Since opening in 2000, this par 72 course (playing 7,202 yards from
the championship tees) has served as a proving ground for an assortment of tournaments,
championships and events, including two U.S. Open qualifiers. Yet, the course is also
remarkably playable, presenting a fair and rewarding challenge to virtually every class
of golfer - male and female, junior and senior, avid and beginner. Fazio was well-suited
to transform the picturesque countryside into the perfect course to complement an island
town. Preserving the park-like setting, Fazio carefully sited the course to feature Daniel
Island’s pristine marsh, creek and waterway views. The result is a natural freeform layout
carved from the native Lowcountry landscape.

The Ralston Creek Course

Against a stunning backdrop of natural saltwater marsh and tidal creek vistas, acclaimed
architect Rees Jones has created a new Lowcountry classic. True to his style, Jones’
timeless design stresses “honest” challenges derived through the natural variations and
intrinsic character of the landscape. Playing 7,446 yards from the championship tees, this
par 72 course focuses, engages and awakens the senses. Described as a “Lowcountry version
of St. Andrews,” the Ralston Creek course, which opened in 2006, has amassed an
impressive array of accolades. In addition to being included on the Golfweek list of Best
New Courses, it was ranked among the top ten Best New Private Courses by Golf Digest.
Since its opening, the course has hosted a Nationwide Tour event, three Nationwide Tour
championships, a U.S. Open local qualifying event, a PGA Professional National Championship
sectional qualifying event, and the 50th Trusted Choice “Big I” National Championship.

Pools and Cabana at the Park Club

Outfitted with two resort-style saltwater pools (one for energetic families and the other for
lap swimming and quieter relaxation), a fitness center and tennis pavilion, the Daniel Island
Club’s Park Club hums with daily activity. Located in the heart of Daniel Island Park, the Park
Club is within walking distance from many homes here, making it a favorite gathering place
for family and friends. Both pools feature a beach-style entry and lap lanes.
The Cabana provides a fun and casual spot for grabbing a bite to eat or catching the game on
the big screens with friends over cocktails. The back patio has cozy fire pits and a stage for
live entertainment.

Tennis Pavilion at the Park Club

Novice and seasoned players alike feel at home at the Tennis Pavilion, the Park Club’s
extensive tennis facility. Sanctioned for league play and staffed with several full-time
pros, the Tennis Pavilion is home to 13 clay courts and two hard courts. Individual and
group instruction is available, along with an array of classes, competitions, events and
clinics for adults and children.

Fitness Center at the Park Club

With a 10,500-square foot, state-of-the-art fitness center, the Park Club provides members
with the latest cardiovascular and circuit training equipment, aerobics, popular fitness
classes and personal trainers to help meet your goals. After all of that activity, you’ll welcome
an opportunity to refresh with a muscle-soothing, deep tissue treatment from a skilled on-site
massage therapist.

The Clubhouse

Overlooking the marsh and tidal waters of Beresford Creek, the gracious clubhouse
offers a beautiful and comfortable “home away from home” for members and guests.
Throughout the year, the clubhouse is home to frequent social events, including special
holiday gatherings, family dinners, formal affairs and more. With such a welcoming
atmosphere and abundance of social and seasonal events, new members don’t stay
“new” for long!

The clubhouse also has a variety of dining options. Harry’s offers everything from
sophisticated options to laid-back fare, courtesy of the club’s executive chef and his
team. The Grill Room, a more casual option, is a favorite among members with
indoor and outdoor seating, spectacular views of the Ralston Creek and Beresford
Creek courses, as well as stunning marsh views.

A Place for Special Moments

The clubhouse’s grand ballroom, reception and outdoor areas offer members an impressive venue
for weddings and other private occasions. Floor-to-ceiling windows reveal gorgeous marsh, creek and
golf views - a breathtaking backdrop for any occasion. Our catering staff can assist with the variety of
needs that go into planning every detail and nuance for up to 500 guests. Adjacent to the ballroom, a
well-appointed gallery serves as a pre-function space or venue for smaller private functions.
It’s not just weddings at the club. All manner of events - from oyster roasts, anniversary and
birthday parties, to golf outings, conferences and meetings - can be arranged and executed to your
precise specifications.

Men’s and Ladies’ Lounges

The locker rooms and lounges are destinations in themselves. Inside the men’s lounge, you’ll find a
barber shop, billiards room and plenty of space to relax alone or with friends. The ladies’ lounge
is a comfortable setting for playing card games, visiting with friends and relaxing by the fireplace.
Members also enjoy food service in these accommodating spaces.

The Club Cottages

At just under 3,000 square feet each, the Wando, Ashley and Cooper Cottages offer luxurious
onsite accommodations for members and sponsored guests. Located next to the clubhouse
and overlooking the grand lawn, each cottage features four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths,
well-equipped kitchens and comfortable outdoor spaces with views of the 18th hole of the
Beresford Creek course.
Available for rent as full cottages or in smaller configurations, each has been outfitted to
provide a luxurious but infinitely comfortable ambiance. Guests have access to club amenities
including restaurants, golf, tennis and fitness. The Club Cottages provide an elegant and
spacious alternative to hotels and a glimpse of Lowcountry living at its finest.
