ABOUT THE INVENTOR

Mr. Raju Dabhade

Father of Roll Ball.
From a newspaper
delivery boy to
inventing a
recognized
international game.
Worked as Sports Teacher in Rani Laxmibai
Military School, Pune, and formerly worked in
Bal Shikshan Mandir School English Medium,
where he invented the game.

Ideation by Mr. Raju Dabhade in late 2002’s,
with an on-paper formalization in February 2003.

International Roll Ball Federation was established
in 2003; under which Roll Ball operates globally.

Maiden demonstration match held in 2003 at Balewadi
stadium within 4 - teams of Pune to mark the commencement
of Roll Ball journey.

INFORMATION

• A combination of skating, basketball,
handball and throwball

• Fast game played on roller/ inline skates.
• Team game played between two teams

with 12 players each; 6 main and 6 reserve
• The game can be played indoor as well

as outdoor courts
• The court size is almost the same as a

basketball court and can be used for
multiple sports – Skating, Basketball,
Volleyball, Badminton, and Kabaddi.

Roll Ball has taught us to be winners,

I have been playing this game since 2006.
At the age of 16, I got an opportunity to
play my first International tournament. I
have played 5 world cups and have
represented in 15+ National level
championships for Maharashtra team
and secured several medals.

I have been playing this game since its
invention back in 2003 and have
represented 15+ National level
championships for Maharashtra team
and secured multiple gold medals. I have
also been a part of the Indian team for 3
consecutive World Cups (2013, 2015 &
2017) and secured gold medals in each of
them.

several medals for my state and also

World Cups. Roll Ball has given wings to

championships for J&K team and
