Small Wonders Preschool

2022-23 RegiJsUtNraEtSioumn mer Camps

ENROLLMENT

Registration for 2022-23 begins January 15, 2022. Registration will continue as long as space is available.
Students must be 3 or 4 years of age by September 1, 2022 to be eligible. Students must be able to
toilet independently. The $100 registration fee and September 2022 tuition are due at the time of
registration. Registration fees are non-refundable. September tuition is refundable if students
withdraw prior to August 1. Call 952-232-3001 for additional questions or to set up a classroom visit.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Small Wonders receives funding from the state, allowing a limited number of scholarships to income-
eligible families. If you think you might qualify, please contact 952-232-3009 for more information on
the application process.

EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION

Lakeville’s Early Childhood Special Education program works collaboratively with Small Wonders.
ECSE staff work as partners with parents and teachers. Lakeville Area Schools provides a full continuum
of special education services depending on each student’s unique special education needs and the
goals determined by the student’s Individual Education Planning (IEP) team. Services are provided
in the least restrictive learning environment, as appropriate for the individual student.

WONDER ZONE

Wonder Zone is a flexible, high quality childcare program for children 3-6 years old. Wonder Zone has
experienced, creative professionals providing individualized care in conjunction with Small Wonders
Preschool throughout the year. Combining Small Wonders Preschool and Wonder Zone childcare is
a great option for families looking for high-quality childcare and a world-class preschool program.

Wonder Zone offers more than just child Child care for children ages 3 to 6 years

music & dramatic play, science & STEAM, Sept 1 and be able to toilet independently.

Children participating in any of the Small Wonders Preschool
programs can attend Wonder Zone before and after their class.
Wonder Zone is also open on most non-preschool days, such

afternoon snack are provided each day. Parents can choose to
purchase a hot lunch for their child or pack a nut free bag lunch.

Wonder Zone Event Days

Wonder Zone is open on non-preschool days as well
as most district non-school days such as MEA, Spring
Break, etc. Children attending event days will have
a fun-filled theme day including special in-house
activities. Activities on event days will be posted in
the Wonder Zone classroom. Check with
the Wonder Zone teachers for event details.

Do you have a child entering kindergarten fall of 2022? If so, plan
to attend your child’s kindergarten information night, as well as have
an opportunity to meet your principal and kindergarten teachers

Early Childhood Screening

Early Childhood Screening is a FREE developmental screening
required for all preschool-age children by the State of Minnesota
prior to entry in kindergarten and some early childhood programs.
The optimum age to screen is 3 ½ but children can be screened
at age 3-5. Screening benefits children and families.
