BACKGROUND Gunung Medan Glass Café is a new, minimalist, and aesthetic café that just opened. The café officially opened on July 16, 2023. This café is named “Glass” because the building is surrounded by glass. The situation in this café is very orderly and calm. There’s a lot of “ootd” and beautiful spots to take pictures and make videos. This café is entirely owned by Mrs. Zati and assisted by her husband, Mr. Naim. According to Mrs. Zati, she got the idea of opening this café because of its rare and hidden location, which is on the mountain and has a very beautiful view. At first, she only helped her husband manage camping and glaming activities. However, after seeing the atmosphere, she was inspired to open a café there. For her, it’s kind of a pity to not take advantage of the opportunity. Therefore, she suggested to her husband that she open a café on Gunung Medan.
This café building is also 100 percent handmade by Mrs. Zati’s husband, Mr. Naim, with a budget of about RM 20 to 30 thousand. To get to this café, the customer has two choices: to climb the mountain himself or ride a pickup provided by Mr. Naim using his own Triton. If the customer chooses to climb on his own, the climb time is not too long—just about 10 minutes. Gunung Medan Glass Café is very interesting because it has two floors. The lower floor is a closed, cold-conditioned building, while the upper floor is the rooftop. The walls of this café are also entirely surrounded by glass. Both parts of the building are open and provide a direct light source and adequate lighting, as well as allowing all guests to enjoy the view and watch the sunset. Guests can choose between sitting in a café or at the top of the rooftop to enjoy the panorama while drinking coffee and eating dessert. This café provides coffee and non-coffee to the guests. There are also waffle-based menus like bubble waffles and ice cream waffles. Desserts are also available, like pavlova and cake, but only on certain days.

For added convenience, an online delivery service will be launched, bringing the cafe’s unique flavor to your doorstep.
