N D I V G 2 0 2 4 Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, As the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, USIM, I would like to take this golden opportunity and pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all students from all 13 dental schools in Malaysia to the National Dental Intervarsity Games (NDIVG) 2024. I hope that everyone attending is in a state of well-being and anticipating this event. NDIVG first started 15 years ago and has become an event held every year since then. This event brings together all dental students throughout Malaysia, becoming a platform for students to showcase their ability not only in academics but also in sports. It is in line with our main objective which is to produce a well-balanced student who shines in both academics and physical activities. Simultaneously, it strengthens the relationship between dental students from different universities as well as forges new friend— ships and connections between them. I have always believed that sport activities should be an indispensable part of every student’s life. As the saying goes, a sound mind lies in a sound body. My happiness knows no bounds when I see students performing well in both academics and sports.

Finally, rather than concentrating on winning or losing, it is our duty to acknowledge sportsmanship and the determination to participate. Assalamualaikum wbt. and greetings to all dental students from all around Malaysia! On behalf of the central organising committee, it has been such a great honour to arrange this national sports event. On top of that, hosting this event on our very own campus in USIM, Nilai has made it infinitely more special. We truly appreciate this opportunity and are looking forward to seeing your competitive faces in the games in which we have put our blood, sweat, and tears. This year, we have added several new sports events such as archery, aero-dance, varsity chants, and the highly demanded netball. This brings us to an exhilarating total of 14 events. Not to mention, supporters are also allowed to join in on the varsity chants event, allowing them to contribute to their respective universities and raise team spirits. It is with great pleasure and excitement that we are able to bring another edition of the most awaited sport event among dental students in Malaysia once again. NDIVG is an annual competitive sports event which is held by MDSA which involves all students from dental faculties in IPTAs and IPTSs throughout Malaysia. This event is brought about by MDSA’s goal of establishing social interaction and promoting friendship between dental students of all universities in Malaysia through healthy activities. Every year this event is participated by 13 dental faculties from different universities nationwide. This year, MDSA is proud to collaborate with the host school, Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia as the main organizer with the theme “Arena Roar, Champion Soar”. On the behalf of the team, I also take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to our sponsors, whose generous contributions have been instrumental in making this event a reality. Their unwavering support has enabled us to create an atmosphere of healthy competition, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among the participants. It is the unique sweeping, peaked-roofed “buffalo horn” architecture in many Negeri Sembilan kampung houses and official buildings. “Minangkabau” is derived from the Indo-Malay words “menang and kerbau” meaning “winning buffalo” The official NDIVG logo
OUR MASCOT
This is TAARIQ, USIM' s corporate mascot. It is inspired by the combination of robots and stars by using USIM' s corporate colors of blue and yellow to highlight its image. TAARIQ translates the uniqueness of this University ' s name, which is a combination of 'Science ' symbolized on TAARIQ' s logo as a robot and 'Islam ' symbolized on the five-pointed star that forms the wings on TAARIQ.
