To be eligble to qualify, riders must go clear at XC.
Junior riders must be under 16 as of 1st January 2017.
First 3 places in each class qualify for "Horseware Ireland
National Hunter Trials" 2017.
If insufficient entries, Senior & Junior classes may be combined.
There will be a £5 deposit for number bibs returnable on the
day.

RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Horse and ponies must be 5 years and over.
Hunting jackets or plain dark sweatshirts should be worn

Effective body protectors must be worn and must be BETA 2009 Level 3

The competetion will be run under the Pony Club Tetrathlon Rules 2016 with certain
exceptions.

Riding
The course will be ready for walking by Saturday 20th May.
Competitors may jump the course below their own but will incur 400 penalties and must
inform the organisers by 9.00am on the 21st May 2017.
Competitors may be led/assisted in Class 8 but will incur 400 penalties.
Competitors may be assisted in Class 7 but will incur 400 penalties.
There will be no elimination for 3 refusals in the Mini, Tadpole and Tiddlers Classes. A third
refusal at the same fence will incur a maximim of 200 penalties.
Crash hats must be worn and must bear the CE mark and a quality symbol, either BS
kitemark, the SAI Global symbol or the official Snell label.
Hats must all carry a Pony Club White Tag and should comply with the conditions laid
down in the Tetrathlon Rules.
Body Protectors must be worn by all competitors and adhere to Pony Club 2017 Rules.
Medical armbands must be worn by all competitors in the riding phase.
A £5.00 deposit will be required for bibs for the riding section.

Swimming
Only one coach or parent will be allowed at the end of the pool.
Atttention is drawn to the ASA advice contained in the Tetrathlon Rule Book.
All Leisure Centre Rules must be observed.

Shooting
Guns must be kept in their cases until the Firing Point Steward gives the orders to "unbox"
at the start of a detail and must be "boxed" again before the competitor leaves the firing
point. At all other times guns must be stored in their boxes and locked in a secure place (i.e.
in a vehicle, out of sight). No person under 18 years of age may be responsible for, or carry
a gun.
Long trousers ands footwear which does not extend to the ankle MUST be worn.

Objections
Please note that any objections should be made through the Team Manager only and within
20 minutes of the scores being displayed.

Health and Safety
The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and
safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all
reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the
instructions of the organisers and all Officials & Stewards.

Liability
Neither the Organisers nor any persons acting on their behalf acccept any liability for any
loss or damage, accident, injury or illness to competitors, spectators or any other person or
property whatsoever. Application for entry to this competition constitutes acceptance of
these conditions.

No dogs allowed on the Saturday. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times on Sunday.

Refreshments will be available at Pound Green on the Sunday only.
