Behaviour Change
Behaviour change is a series of small steps that people take over time as part of a journey. The

this workshop, delegates will be able to provide their participants with the tools and the
incentive to create lasting change in their lives.
What Will They Learn:
• How to use EAST (Easy, Attractive, Social, Timely) as a simple framework for achieving
behaviour change.
• Master simple strategies that can in uence behaviour and ensure participants keep

• Identify the individual needs, motivations and goals of participants, and how to tailor
content to suit them.

Learning Disabilities and Personal Training
Personal Trainers and Fitness Coaches are an integral part of the leisure industry who can
make a client’s experience great or not so great. That’s why it is so important that they
have the knowledge and expertise to coach and interact with a huge range of clients –
including the large proportion of people in the UK who have a learning disability and are
currently inactive. Inclusion in the tness industry is increasingly more important and this
workshop will help delegates develop new insight and approaches to extending their
client base and increase potential for working in new markets. People with disabilities can
use their Personal Budgets to engage in sport and physical activity, we’ll aim to show
delegates ways of unlocking this.
Learning Objectives:
• What is a Learning Disability – facts, gures and myth busting
• What are reasonable adjustments?
• To be able to con dently communicate inclusively before, during and after training
• To be able to identify ways in which you can make your behaviours and delivery style
more inclusive
• To evaluate the importance of developing a specialist role across the Fitness Industry
