WITH-ALL-MY-MIGHT

8

With All My Might, It Shall Be Done! A single-minded thought, an
unwavering decision-making idea. Implementing the highest degree of
effort and commitment humanly possible. Bring to bear every fiber of
your being.

Might-most commonly means considerable strength or power. Stop
second-guessing yourself. Wondering what might have been had you
not given up. Adopt an enduring new way to advance your decisions,
hopes, and dreams before starting on your latest venture or quest.
Decide to lock the backdoor. Without this resolute attitude, the slight-
est storm cloud along your journey will cause fear, uncertainty, and
doubt. The only way to go is forward. In your heart and mind, know
that with “All My Might,” It Shall Be Done.

The first step after deciding the goal you want to achieve. Realize that
if the why is powerful enough, the what and how will become doable.
Make a list of the things required to reach an obtainable level of suc-
cess. A second list details all the things that could prevent you from
reaching your goal. Go about addressing and creating a solution for the
tripwires identified on the list. This will give you the resolve to keep
going in facing challenges.

SETBACK OR STEPPING STONE? IT’S YOUR CHOICE

What goal have you attempted in your life that you feel you have ham-
mered away at with all your might? Well, if things do not work out, I
can say what everyone else does. That is to say, “I did my best.” This is
an acceptable cliché the world over. Now, you feel you are off the hook.
Those that say this make a habit of looking for a comfortable place to
quit. As a result, you cannot say the endeavor did not work. You quit.
Becoming unstoppable is easy if you change the way you think! Just
imagine how confident you will feel. Believing you will give your all,
with every fiber of your being committed to your goal.

D.A.G – daily achievement goal. Determine your daily achievement
goal. Become more productive in goal setting and achieving. Try
breaking a significant plan down into smaller sub-parts. Apply daily.
Enabling small wins daily. This works wonders for maintaining self-
motivation. It serves to curtail procrastination in most cases. As you
can imagine, there are many types of goals:

• Personal Goals
• Career Goals
• Financial Goals
• Family Goals
• Relationship Goals
• Community Goals
• Health & Wellness Goals
• Fitness Goals

How motivated are we? Consequently, tackling worthwhile pursuits in
our lives? In. What order of importance or significance does each rate
in our busy affairs of life? Do we focus on one or two and neglect the
others to our detriment? Setting goals is personal. Because each person
has a different path to travel. Desires, ambitions, and dreams are like
your fingerprint. All are different. Your goals may be similar. Many
may have things in common with others. You may feel it is personal to
you alone.

S2s

WITH-ALL-MY-MIGHT

What is the driving factor moving you forward toward your goal? The
only credible and honest force able to help move mountains is DESIRE
and FAITH!

Follow along as we engage in an imaginary goal-setting game or sce-
nario. Here we go.
From the above list, choose three goals. Not goals you are only inter-
ested in accomplishing. Goals that would need a commitment to be
achieved. There is a distinct difference between the two.
Goals, where you find yourself committing, would be declared with All
My Might. It Shall be Done!
A spaceship landed in a nearby town. The inhabitants of the ship began
to select citizens. The chosen ones are for an experiment where they
will have five years to complete three goals. Before the invaders return
to earth. You are one of the lucky few selected. By stipulation, one
of the goals taken from the list must be financial. The financial goal

S3s

SETBACK OR STEPPING STONE? IT’S YOUR CHOICE

requires that you become a certified millionaire on the invaders’ return.
Here are the rules. If none of the goals are met, all those who fail will
be taken to a far-off galaxy. And never return to earth again. How seri-
ous, motivated, and committed will you become? Now that so much is
at risk. Will you consider the alternative and do nothing at all? Would
you become a no-limit individual? Will you not try or just give up? Do
you have a plan? What will be your first step? Do you believe you will
be successful? What is likely to happen? Yes, the stakes are high, with
no room for failure. I think you would agree that this will require hav-
ing the right attitude. “With All My Might,” It Shall Be Done!

Action steps:

• Write down your goals
• Be clear and specific
• Create a workable plan
• Take action
• Read your goals each morning
• Read your goals before going to sleep at bedtime
• Close your eyes to imagine, feel, and visualize achieving your

goals
• Say, “With All My Might” It Shall Be Done! With every fiber

of your being. Repeat several times throughout the day.

THE POWER OF PURPOSE

8

Now for the house of my God I have prepared with all my might:
gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood, onyx stones, glistening stones of vari-
ous colors, all kinds of precious stones, and marble slabs in abundance.
Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God,
I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have
prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver:
three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thou-
sand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses; the gold
for things of gold and the silver for things of silver, and for all kinds
of work to be done by the hands of craftsmen” (1 Chronicles 29:2-5).

Putting all his heart into this effort, David collected huge quantities
of material (1 Chronicles. 22:14). And because of David’s love and
devotion to God, he was willing to give liberally of his own resources as
well to building of the temple.

PURE POTENTIAL

8

Potential-capable of being or becoming:

Yes, you have the capacity to be all you desire to become. Who decides
one’s fate in life? Let us examine who the candidates are to make this
choice. Is it God? Is it you? Your environment, background, education,
pedigree, culture, country, etc. Or maybe some other alternative in
your way of thinking about this quite curious dilemma. The problem
and mystery are until we understand what authority we have to say,
“I am what I am.” You are pure potential; no reasonable and logical
person would dare dispute this simple fact. By what authority can one
make such a bold claim? Now we will offer some proof. Good research
requires asking questions. This will need deeper investigation. That
will allow even the most casual observer to connect the dots.

Starting at the beginning, who made the universe, the world, the earth,
and you? Whomever you choose to give credit for the magnificent cre-
ation is where we should turn next.

My research indicates that you are a created being in his image and
likeness. Therefore, our potential has but one source: God! Sorry, I
attempted to find some other source that could have created you, the
universe, the earth, and all that there is, and there was none.

S6s

PURE POTENTIAL

Since we have located the source of our potential, we can proceed. The
source has given us unique faculties, gifts, and abilities intermixed with
our potential. One of the first things God tells us about himself is that
God is the creator who made the heavens, earth, and everything in
existence. Could that mean we are creators as well? Is that one of those
faculties residing within our potential? We can think and create. That
ability is on loan from the source. It is hardwired in you. In case you
are wondering about the image and likeness. Think about this. If you
place a picture of a bird on a copying machine and print the picture. It
does not matter the number of times you repeat the process. The image
of the bird will not come out as a tree. A reproduced image must match
the likeness of the original image. So, there you have it. Characteristics
and attributes of pure potential are a part of your creation.
Live up to your God-given potential every single day. “With All My
Might,” It Shall Be Done!

DETERMINATION

8

How determined are you? Most people are not focused on personal achieve-
ment. They say they want the best for themselves and their family. Their
actions and decisions speak something entirely different. To say the least.
I do believe that they want the best. It is the launching out and taking on
the unknown, facing a loss and no guarantee of success. That is the prob-
lem. Some people are not risk-takers and rather sit on the sidelines of life.
It is your choice to make. Some study the cost and risk and roll the dice.
Through their brave efforts, we enjoy every manufactured invention and
convenience. Facing defeat, ridicule, setbacks, and challenges beyond com-
prehension by an ordinary person. They dared to try and win. Standing on
this foundation “With All My Might.” It Shall Be Done!

Here is evidence of “With All My Might”, It Shall Be Done, in real-life
heroes:

• Granville Woods

Granville T. Woods was an African American inventor who
made important improvements to the telephone, the street
car, and much more. Born in Columbus, Ohio, on April 23,
1856, Woods’ groundbreaking inventions changed how we live

today. Referred to by some as the “Black Edison,” the inventor
registered nearly 60 patents in his lifetime. Woods successfully
defended his patent for the induction telegraph system against
a lawsuit from Thomas Edison.

Woods held various engineering and industrial jobs.
Establishing a company to develop electrical apparatus was
unheard of in his day. He filed his first patent for an improved
steam boiler furnace.

His second invention, an enhanced telephone transmitter,
combined the telephone and the telegraph. It was louder
and clearer even from long distances. Alexander Graham Bell
bought the patent for this device, and this purchase launched a
new phase of Woods’ career as an inventor.

• George Washington Carver

According to the National Peanut Board, Dr. Carver published
the research Bulletin, “How to Grow the Peanut and 105 Ways
of Preparing it For Human Consumption.” During that time,
the boll weevil had destroyed the cotton crop and many farmers
had turned to peanuts as a cash crop. Alabama’s residents saw
cotton oil mills converted to producing peanut oil. This was
something that farmers could thrive on — livestock could eat
the peanut plant. Sharecroppers could feed their families on
crops that were not sold. Dr. Carver and the peanuts helped
save the economy of the southern part of the U.S.

Encouraged by goodwill and much curiosity, Carver continued
his research on peanuts. Through the separation of fats, oils,
gums, resins, and sugars, he went on to find many uses for
peanuts. According to the National Peanut Board, “food
products range from peanut lemon punch, chili sauce, caramel,

peanut sausage, mayonnaise, and coffee. Cosmetics included
face powder, shampoo, shaving cream, and hand lotion.
Insecticides, glue, charcoal, rubber, nitroglycerin, plastics, and
axle grease are just a few of the many valuable peanut products
discovered by Dr. Carver.

• Orville and Wilbur Wright

Few noteworthy figures in American history are cloaked in more
misconceptions than Wilbur and Orville Wright. Their fame
and popular stature are extraordinary for men of their time.

How did two men, working alone and with little formal
scientific training, unravel a problem so complex and
demanding? Heavier-than-air flight, which had defied better-
known experimenters for centuries?

The brothers were talented, but the true answer also lies in their
background and early experiences. Learn how these seemingly
ordinary bicycle mechanics emerged to change the world.

Between 1899 and 1905, the Wright brothers conducted a
program of aeronautical research and experimentation that led
to the first successful powered airplane in 1903 and an evolved,
practical flying machine two years later. All triumphant airplanes
since then have incorporated the basic design elements of the
1903 Wright Flyer.

The genius of Wilbur and Orville began not only in the singular
act of getting a flying machine into the air but also in the
approach they evolved and employed to create the technology
of flight. Their concept of evaluating data gathered by testing an
aircraft in flight, then refining the design based on those results,
remains a crucial tool in aerospace research and development.

EVERYDAY APPLICATION

8

What would our families, communities, cities, and schools look like if
each person started a personal mantra? “With All My Might”, It Shall
Be Done! This would cause a wave of positivity as well as good karma
to rush across the entire country:

• Fathers will you become better fathers? With All My Might. It
Shall Be Done!

• Mothers will you become better mothers? With All My Might.
It Shall Be Done!

• Children will you become obedient and respectful? With All
My Might. It Shall Be Done!

Thieves, will you stop stealing? With All My Might. It Shall Be Done!
Liars, will you stop lying? With All My Might. It Shall Be Done!
Disturbers of the peace will you stop? With All My Might. It Shall

IT IS POSSIBLE

8

If you know, you will not fail. What would you do? Is there a big
idea? Some intriguing new plans and adventures calling. Journeys,
community service, and advocacy groups in the future are waiting.
Bold, assertive leadership is a thing that is in short supply indeed.
How would you motivate such a group? Galvanize them around
one core philosophy, “With All My Might, “It Shall Be Done! Let
this be your rallying cry as you move into community action or
community service.

Industries take on a slightly different angle. For example, a business
mogul wants to launch a new business concept. He needs someone
to manage the venture, which had no experience in the line of busi-
ness before launching it. This proves the company is failure-proof.
This means that anyone can do it with limited knowledge of the
concept.

The selection committee chose you for the project. You are excited but
apprehensive. You agree. If you can make the venture successful, the
company will award you the first franchise free and clear with a check
for five million dollars. The mogul’s last request is that I need one
statement from you to assure me we have chosen the right person for

the job. What would you say to convince him? In only eight words or
less. “With All My Might, “It Shall Be Done!

MOVERS & SHAKERS

8

Movers and shakers make the world go around. Do they? How are
they different? It starts on the inside, the only thing setting this group
apart from the rest of us. Somehow, they have become immune to fail-
ure. Once they set their eyes on a project or goal, a can-do attitude is
cemented into their mind. With All My Might and It Shall Be Done
is as common as walking and talking for this group. It functions as a
calling card and a claim to fame. The bigger the challenge, the more
significant the headlines are once done.

How might you gain this type of unshakable confidence? Let us not
forget that we can think, create, and meditate. Our superpower is med-
itation, communicating with the only source of all ideas. Afterward, we
need the mindset of “With All My Might, “It Shall Be Done. Journal
to record all experiences and progress.

As a self-help coach, I try to keep things simple and uncomplicated.
We, humans, are creatures of habit. Is it not amazing that habits are
difficult to get rid of once ingrained in our minds? Because we learn
best by repetition and intentional practice. So, if we remind ourselves
of whatever we undertake in life “With All My Might,” It Shall Be
Done.

ALL OR NOTHING

8

I once had a neighbor who was often referred to as Mr. 100. Known as
the one guy you could count on 100% of the time. He had developed
a personality that did not lend itself to cutting corners. One day, in a
conversation, when asked if he had ever performed any tasks, which
was halfhearted. He replied that he grew up on a farm as a child. Those
experiences with his grandparents taught him a few lessons about
life and nature. His grandad was an incredibly wise but gentle man.
His mission was to live a good, simple life while helping anyone who
needed help. My neighbor said he asked his grandad why the seasons
change. And how do they seem to automatically know when to do it?
The answer given was explained so that a young kid could understand
it.

The next question was, what would happen if the four seasons were
confused, and all mixed up? Meaning not knowing when to change
in the proper order. Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter are the correct
line-up. Mr.100 said his grandad looked up at the sky. Then said, when
seasons were given their marching orders by the Master Creator, it was
all or nothing. They had no excuses. The seasons are to follow a pattern
and natural order. To make a mistake now would be unacceptable. So,
it is all or nothing. As far as I can tell, we have not seen a partial sunrise

S 16 s

ALL OR NOTHING

or sunset on this farm. It is all or nothing. Mr.100 learned a valuable
lesson. To be a person of character and integrity. It makes no differ-
ence to what you attempt in your life. Make sure to give yourself all or
nothing. All or nothing is synonymous with:  With All My Might, It
Shall Be Done!
