PRESSLEY HONEYCUTT Hey! My name is Pressley and I am a student-athlete here at HIU playing soccer and majoring in business management. My goal as a group leader is to connect with students on campus and help create a positive experience through our faith. Our small group is an environment geared towards athletes who are looking to learn more about their faith while connecting with their peers. Also, to have a safe place to talk about mental health, ways to be supported, and overall well-being. I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to connect and help each other strive this year:) JASMINE STONE Hi! My name is Jasmine Stone and I am a student-athlete here at HIU majoring in Kinesiology. My purpose and goal as a group leader is to empower all walks of faith with weekly encouragement. I want to create a safe space that is comfortable for athletes and commuters. This year I’m very excited to be growing with one another! BRANDON PARRA Hey there! As a studentathlete double majoring in Church Ministry and Business Management with a Sports Management concentration, I'm passionate about bringing people together and fostering personal and spiritual growth. GRACE CRAIG Hi! My name is Grace Craig. I’m going into my senior year here at Hope where I’m majoring in sports psychology. I’m on the softball team, as well as the competitive dance team. My goal as a group leader this year is to create an environment where my group of softball teammates, and whoever else wants to join, feel comfortable and welcomed to ask whatever questions they have about God, the Bible, and faith as we study different people from the Bible and history. SAMANTHA MONSON Hi, my name is Sam and I am an education major. My small group is for both on-campus students and commuters. As a commuter student, I have felt the struggle of getting to meet and know other students. During our small group time, I hope to use our faith in God to build connections with our fellow students whom we may not know. We will be meeting in the library so you can always come early or stay late to do homework together or just hang out. We will also occasionally meet off campus! My mission as a small group leader is to create an inviting and safe environment for HIU athletes to come together, fellowship, and grow in our faith. JESSICA FLORES “Hey! My name is Jessica. :) I am an RA here and I am a PrePhysical Therapy major. My goal as a leader is to create a safe environment where any and all topics can be discussed whether that involves needing advice on an issue or needing help being pointed in the right direction. Overall, just a safe space, judgement free and where all people are welcome. Can’t want to meet and grow with everyone over the next year! :) SARINA TAYUI Hey! My name is Sarina Tayui and I am a student-athlete here at HIU majoring in criminal justice. My goal as a group leader is to create a place for my teammates to comfortably conversation and build community. Our small group is focused towards golfers who are wanting to enjoy and grow in their life and as a person! I am really excited to truly grow with my team and have fun in fellowship!! My group is more geared towards girls on my stunt team as a way for us to get to know each other better outside of stunt but of course everyone is welcome! I look forward to this school year and the new small groups.
KAYLIN HURLEY Hey! My name is Kaylin and I am super excited excited to be a life group leader! I am a sophomore and an elementary education major. My favorite things are spending time with the people i love, the beach, and playing and writing music. Currently I work in junior high ministry at Seacoast Grace Church. Leadership is a calling of mine and I’m grateful for the opportunity to use it on the HIU campus. I want our life group to become more than just a familiar face around campus but also really forming friendships and a community together.
