Melting ละลาย

Changes in materials when they are heated or cooled.
Some materials change their physical or chemical properties
when they are heated or cooled, such as their color and shape.
For example, chocolate. When you take it out of the fridge, it will
melt easily.

What causes it to melt ?

SCIENCE LEARNERS MATERIALS GRADE 3 103

Unit 4

When a material is heated, it will change shape or state. For
example, when candles are heated with an alcohol burner, they
change their state or shape from a solid into a liquid that is not a
fixed shape.

Moreover, when a material is heated, it may change in colour.
For example, when an egg white is heated by boiling or frying, it
turns white.
