ACTIVITY – VII
FEET OF FIRE (COLLABORATIVE ACTIVITY)
When you dance to your own rhythm
Life taps its toes to your beat…...
Modern school conducted an Activity (‘feet of fire’- Artist in motion
collaborative activity) under ISA programme (British Council) in the month of
October – November 2019 in which around 300 students of Class VI -VIII under
the age group of 11 to 14 years participated. The aim of the Activity is to know
about the various Dance costumes in the Dance Forms of the countries named
Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Dubai &India. Our school has collaborated with
partner country Nepal and Bangladesh. Our students presented the dance form
of these. They also researched about different dance forms of the countries
mentioned. They prepared power point presentation which enriched their
knowledge about the different dance forms. Our students also done collage
making activity in which they made flags of different countries. They identified
the maps by colouring and preparing the collage of different countries flag. They
collected all the information about the countries, their flag, dance forms,
culture/dresses/costumes and made beautiful collage of each country. The
students have also participated in various forms of dance competition. They
presented their views on this dance activity in assembly presentation. They
collected the information and learnt about the different Dance Forms of these
countries. In the reference of the ISA dance Activity. Over all this activity was
full of learning and enriched the young minds with the hidden language of the
soul.

POWERPOINT PRESENTATION
The objective of this activity was to understand and browse the
various art forms of different countries. The students designed
informative slides about art form, drawn by people in different
countries. The students gained concrete knowledge about different
art forms of the world and have a sense of admiration for the
diversity. Our teachers explained the various art forms of the world
and enriched our students.

The aim of the project was to give a creative & artistic
edge to the project as the students learned about
different forms of art. The students with the help of art

PAINTING COMPETITION
The students showcased their talent and creativity through painting.
They participated enthusiastically. They touched many aspects
related to art of different countries. They depicted the uniqueness of
art through different work. It was amazing to watch how students
creatively portrayed and this competition was like an extravaganza.
They have used their brilliance of painting blended
with the perception displayed on the painting sheet. It
was a commendable work done by our artists.

EXHIBITION
Different paintings made by the students were displayed in an
exhibition to showcase their art and give knowledge to the other
students about the various art forms of the world. The exhibition
was a beautiful and gastronomic affair which included information
on various art forms of the world, the wide and exquisite artistry
that can be created with different colours. The students have
explicit knowledge about different and diverse form of painting and
art. They know about various art forms of different countries.

Analyse and Admire a Painting
ACTIVITY - 6
Modern School Faridabad, initiated an ISA activity
Analyse & Admire a Painting in the month of
December & January involving the students from
classes IX to XII.
Under this activity, the students did research work
followed by PPT presentation. They also
participated in Painting Competition. It taught
them that their small steps can have big
repercussions. What is imagined or
conceptualised can be expressed by colours in
different form. The students showcased their
talent through Exhibition. They also solved the
worksheet based on different paintings of
different countries (India, Africa, USA).
Art has always been a source of relaxation to
mind. These activities when conducted with the
students made them better artist. Over all this
activity has been a life changing activity for our
students as the exposure to cross culturalism has
been immense.

Aim of the activity
The activity aims to spread awareness about food around the
world and to discover and savour the culinary delight of India
and the countries of study.
To gain information and knowledge about the rich and
diverse food of India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
To gather information, demonstrate interpersonal skills,
analyse and develop reasoning and critical thinking in
relation to food and to use this information to
encourage others in making health enhancing food
choices.
The activity aims at making the students aware about
the importance of food diet, generating interest in the
food habits of people around the world and developing
good food habits.

Description of the Activity
In an effort to give our students an international
exposure and make them aware of the diverse culture
that are prevalent outside the border of their own
country we understand this project.
The students discussed about the cuisines that are
relished around the world and the different parts of the
country.
They did research work to know more about it. They
prepared PPT presentation to set a better
understanding about the cuisines of different countries.
They made scrapbook based on their research of
different cuisines that are relished around the world.
They participated in a fancy dress competition and also
showcased it through beautiful assembly presentation.
It was extremely satisfying for both teachers as well as
students to be a part of this project.

boost their enthusiasm and help to develop a
sense of admiration for food choices. You are

III and IV the school will be organizing a fancy dress
competition after the winter vacations. The
students have to dress up in the attire of country
assigned to them and speak few lines about any
dish related to that country. You are requested to
