Elderbank Early Years

Settling back into Early Years and having fun. Welcome back Mason.

Mason enjoys exploring all the areas in the playroom he has
settled in really well and is happy to be back playing with his
friends. He counted all the dinosaurs and enjoyed playing in

the home corner.
Mason enjoys the

challenge of completing
a jigsaw puzzle.

First Mason counted all the wood

3% September - December

Mason has really enjoyed outdoor learning
especially Muddy Monday visits to the woods.
He likes to role play in the house corner with

his friends and he has formed lovely
friendships. Mason sits well at his group time

listening to our news and learning all the
songs. He really enjoys the star helper role
and can carry out his jobs confidently. Mason
enjoys spending some time at the sand area
and he is exploring the writing and art area
and the resources available to him, he has

good fine motor control. Mason has been
learning to count out objects using 1:1
correspondence to 5 and can do this

confidently to 10. Well done Mason you have
worked hard this term. ⭐

and growing at Elderbank, thank you. January - March

Mason is a happy and sociable little boy, he
enjoys sharing his learning experiences with his
peers. He loves role play and the construction

area, building creative structures with his
friends. Mason is a good listener and enjoys
singing and reciting our songs and rhymes at
group time. Mason can recognise, order and use
numerals to 10 as he plays and he is beginning to
explore larger numbers too. He can confidently
count out 10 objects using 1:1 correspondence.

Mason has been busy learning to manage
fastenings independently and he can get himself

dressed into his puddle suit and wellies totally
independently for outdoor play. He can also put
his jacket on managing the zip ready for home
time. Well done Mason you have worked hard to

achieve your targets this term.⭐

Mason enjoyed learning about living and non-
living things, he knows living things grow and
change if looked after. He has been helping to
look after our garden plants and strawberry

plants in the poly tunnel.
Mason can confidently name and talk about
some features of familiar shapes and identify

them in his environment.
Mason likes to play outside especially on the

little bikes and loose parts play, building
structures with his friends. He has enjoyed
playing indoors with the farm animals and

dinosaurs
