GDPR

As mentioned in the May 24th Pulse edition, the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) went into effect on May
25th, 2018. Here is a memo recapping the details further shared on the June GM call. Independent properties, and
Branded properties that send marketing communication outside of the brand’s centralized process, must immediately
stop doing so. Please review, and follow the steps outlined in the memo. Please reach out to your digital team
member for any questions or comments.

ADA Guest Transportation Memo - US Hotels

All U.S. General Managers should have received the ADA Guest Transportation Memo via e-mail on 5/24. If your hotel
operates guest transportation, then please ensure all Associates know to respond “Yes” if asked whether the Hotel
also has accessible transportation. Accessible transportation includes vehicles that are wheel chair and motorized
scooter accessible.
Further, please implement a policy of 24-hours’ advance notice for any guest transportation (accessible or not). Doing
so will provide your Hotel advance notice to schedule an alternative method (e.g. a wheelchair accessible Taxi, Uber
or Lyft), while still providing the transportation in an equivalent manner, because everyone provides 24 hours’ notice.
**Canadian Hotels – this is being modified for your province and will be sent to you shortly.**
Any questions please reach out to Caroline George ([email protected]).

ADA Guest Transportation - Outsourcing Shuttle
Services

If you are a U.S. Hotel and currently outsourcing the hotel’s guest transportation, or if your hotel plans to use a third
party shuttle vendor in the future, then you must utilize Crescent’s Shuttle Transportation Services Agreement.
**Canadian Hotels – this is being modified for your province and will be sent to you shortly.**
Any questions please reach out to Caroline George ([email protected]).
