From July 1 to Labor Day, bikes are permitted to operate from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday and Sunday. Bikes on Boardwalk are OK during daylight hours, Monday through Friday. Dogs are never allowed on the boardwalk. In the Summer, dogs are allowed on the beach between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, make sure they are on a leash. VENTNOR CITY FUN FACTS BEACH GUIDE Ventnor allows grilling at the beach on weekends all summer long. Margate and Longport allow grilling at the beach on holiday weekends. BBQs will be permitted on weekends from June through September from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition, the following dates will allow BBQs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Independence Day: Thursday July 4 Labor Day: Monday, September 2 NO open fire pits, only gas grills! Ventnor and neighboring Margate have a reciprocal relationship, Ventnor’s tags are good in Margate and vice versa. Skip the badge in Atlantic City - the beaches are free! Longport has it’s own badges. To access Ventnor beaches, beach badges must be worn between Memorial Day and Labor Day. How to Purchase beach badges Online: jerseycapetags.com/ventnorbeachtags - physical tags will be mailed to your home. Ventnor City Hall: Cash, check, credit/debit cards accepted. My Beach Mobile App: Digital beach tags can be purchased through the My Beach Mobile App. Once purchased, the digital tags are stored in the app as an animated QR code that can be shown to tag checkers. Digital beach tags are nontransferrable. One user can store multiple digital tags on a device but cannot share them to other devices. All purchases are final. Digital tags cannot be traded for physical tags. Lifeguards are on duty 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. BOARDWALK GRILLING ON THE BEACH Ventnor City's farmers's market will be held every Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. through August 30, on Atlantic and Newport Avenues with lots of local produce and deliciousness! You won't regret heading to this market, it's all sooo good! FARMER'S MARKET HOBIE CAT BEACH Somerset Avenue and the Beach. Sailboats can be registered for a fee on a seasonal basis. For further information, please contact the City Clerk at 609-823-7904. KAYAK BEACH Princeton Avenue and the beach. While there are no lifeguards assigned to this beach, it is supervised during the hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. by the lifeguards at Sacramento Avenues. Please exercise caution while kayaking. SURFING BEACH Located next to the Fishing Pier. Open during daylight hours. There is no lifeguard assigned to this beach, it is supervised during the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. by the lifeguards at Dorset Avenue. Please exercise caution while surfing.
Access Court Reserve to reserve a spot on the Ventnor City tennis or pickleball courts. Ventnor will be transitioning all parking meters to contactless ParkMobile parking beginning July 1, 2024. ParkMobile allows visitors and residents to conveniently pay for and extend time at parking spots right from their mobile phones. ParkMobile is currently available on several blocks in Ventnor. Since its implementation in 2022, it has increased convenience for drivers and improved enforcement. To ensure adoption is successful among residents and visitors, additional signage will be installed with how-to information. A five-minute grace period will also be implemented across all ParkMobile spots. Residents and visitors can download the ParkMobile app or access it via web browser. ParkMobile accepts all major credit cards and ApplePay. VENTNOR CITY FUN FACTS recreational The Ventnor City fishing pier, located at Cambridge Avenue and the Boardwalk, measures 1000 feet and is the longest of the state’s ocean fishing piers! We are open 24 hours/days for yearly keyholders for fishing and sightseeing. The pier boasts benches, cleaning tables, and lighting for nighttime fishing. Come on out and enjoy a beautiful day of fishing or just taking in the sights. FISHING PIER PIER SHACK The successful and independently operated Pier Shack is returning for the 2024 season. Treat yourself to a cold/hot beverage, hot dog or snack. Pier Shack Offerings: Hot Dogs, Snacks, and Non-Alcoholic Beverages. Opens May 25, 2024. 7 Days Per Week 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. PICKLEBALL, TENNIS, BASKETBALL & PLAYGROUND The Beach Recreation Center is located between the beach block and Atlantic Ave. between Suffolk and Somerset Aves. The property contains five full tennis courts, six pickle ball courts, a full basketball court, six volleyball courts, two tennis walls, a handicap accessible playground, and full bathrooms. Courts are open year-round. Court fees are charged starting weekends on Memorial weekend. Full week fees start mid-June until Labor Day. PARKING AROUND TOWN
