Soif interior film construction precautions Pre-preparation 1. The type and surface condition where film is applied should be checked in advance to avoid the problems before and after installation. 2. Before intallation, pre-inspection of the product selected by the consumer (product name, pattern, appearance status) must re-check in advance. 3. Installation work must be conducted after inspection of all preparation works done, this includes the coating, painting and sealant process of any woodwork or porous substrates. 4. For a stable working environment, check the humidity of the construction site and keep the room temperature at (15°C to 25°C) if possible. 5. The across section - overlapping area (cutting area) of the surfaces (MDF, etc.) where the film will be applied must be sufficiently cleaned or polished with sandpaper. In particular, the condition of wood surface (the break and edge area) is rough, it must be cleaned or polished with sandpaper or applied after putty treatment. MDF : Please use ecofriendly grade of MDF with fine surface to prevent the weaken of Adhesion or the Fuction of Flame retardant. Iron plate (aluminium, iron, etc.): Remove contaminants such as oil on the surface with solvents such as alcohol, check for damage to the surface due to solvents, treat irregularities and welding areas with putty, and remove foreign matter with dusty brush or with sandpaper, etc. Ready-made products: Depending on the surface condition, the primer must be used to prevent shrinkage and dropout, and the surface must be checked prior to the installation. 1 Primer Treatment 1. Apply a sufficient primer to the surface of substrate (MDF, PB, etc.) in 1-2 times. 2. Since the cutting (slit) surface of wood has a high absorption rate and uneven surfaces, the primer should be fully applied in 2-3 times. 3. It should be dry enough for at least 2 hours after applying Primer, especially in wet areas make sure to check the dry completely before installation. 2 Installation Film 1. Once the primer surface is dry enough, make the surface smooth and overlappping section is needed to be cleaned with sandpaper and remove foreign matter with dust or brush. 2. Color differences between product LOT may occur, so it must be installed after re-confirming the color with the previous production LOT on site if the site already installed in same pettern. 3. The intallation surface should be sanded to make it clean-flat and the use of Primer is highly recommended to reinforce the adhesion. 4. Please make a pressure using by Helt or Hera. Rubbing or Hard Pressure may work to stengthen the Adhesion in 2 -3 times. 5. Due to the nature of the product, interior film may cause product shrinkage due to heat or MDF, so it must be carefully applied under heating treatment method while wrapping process. 3 Product storage and Precautions 1. Please avoid moisture and direct sunlight, and please do not use it outdoors. 2. The surface may become discoloured during prolonged exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light. 3. Please note that if stored for a long time after opening the product box, there may be cracks on the product surface and weakened adhesion. 4. When install the films, Please apply Samsung film’s official primer. 5. SC/SE (man-made leather type) Do not overlap due to the embossed depth and please apply Solvent Type Primer to press firmly. Do not rub too hard. 2. SP To enlarge the design effect, the film is too soft on the top. Please do not rub too hard. 3. JG/JF JG/JF is made by Alumium design film which may be delaminated while overlapping installation if onsite errors occurs in many times. 4. CG/CF 5500-5533 (Premium Matt Coating), TG/TF 4018-4024 (Soft Matt) In cases where there is overlapping, dampening the adhesive may not stick fully, but over time, the adhesive will stablilize if pressure is applied. (Method when contaminated : wipe with alkaline alcohol to remove.) 5. Anti-Bacteria Film (AB 3800 - 3804) Please note that due to the nature of the antimicrobial function, strong rubs during installation may cause scratches. INSTALLATION GUIDE
