Index Close Gain/Loss Collapsing global markets pushed Indian equites officially in to the Bear Market as
Nifty 7309 -126 benchmark indices lost over 20% from their all time highs touched last year. Nifty
Bank Nifty 14935 -334 slumped to a low of 7241, losing almost 200 points. Last hour short covering near the
CNX IT 10910 -52 bottom however saw it recouping to end at 7309, still down 126 points.

Under the shadow of steep losses and lingering weakness, the markets could attempt a
minor bounce back from the oversold regions.

Immediately, yesterday’s low of 7365 acts as a barrier. Index needs to sustain past 7365
in order to make further gains towards 7420-7470.

On the lower side, today;s panic low of 7240 should provide some immdieate support.
Below that, the next support lies at 7180.
