WHAT IS BIM ? 1
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the holistic process of creating and
managing information for a built asset. Based on an intelligent model and
enabled by a cloud platform, BIM integrates structured, multi-disciplinary
data to produce a digital representation of an asset across its lifecycle,
from planning and design to construction and operations.
BIM is used for creating and managing data during the design,
construction, and operations process. BIM integrates multi-disciplinary data
to create detailed digital representations that are managed in an open
cloud platform for real-time collaboration. Using BIM gives you greater
visibility, better decision-making, more sustainable options, and cost-
savings on architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) projects.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF BIM ? 4
PLAN 19 May 2022
Inform project planning by combining reality capture and real-world data to
generate context models of the existing built and natural environment.
DESIGN
During this phase, conceptual design, analysis, detailing and documentation
are performed. The preconstruction process begins using BIM data to inform
scheduling and logistics.
BUILD
During this phase, fabrication begins using BIM specifications. Project
construction logistics are shared with trades and contractors to ensure
optimum timing and efficiency.
OPERATE
BIM data carries over to operations and maintenance of finished assets. BIM
data can be used down the road for cost-effective renovation or efficient
deconstruction too.

WHY IS BIM IMPORTANT ? 6
According to the UN, by 2050 the world's population will be 9.7 19 May 2022
billion. The global AEC industry must look to smarter, more
efficient ways to design and build not just as a means to keep
up with global demand but to help create spaces that are
smarter and more resilient too.
BIM not only allows design and construction teams to work
more efficiently, but it allows them to capture the data they
create during the process to benefit operations and
maintenance activities. This is why BIM mandates are
increasing across the globe.

COMPANIES SURVEY USING BIM
According to the UN, about 65% of companies using BIM in 2021and the Market chair
percentage will raised to 80% in 2025
Class A Class B+
According to market research, about 60% of class (A) companies and 25% Class B Class C
of class (B+) companies using BIM in Egypt such as (ECG, DAR EL HANDASA,
HASSAN ALLAM, KEMET EGYPT, KAITECH EGYPT, ORASCOM, GAMA, TALAAT 19 May 2022
MOSTAFA and MEP).
Large number of class (A, B+ and B) use REVIT for all projects in EGYPT.
Since 3 years from now BIM will be Irreplaceable.
BIM now is required in Egypt market.
Many companies in Egypt need BIM in market chair and deal with out
source company.

INTRODUCTION 11
According to the market in Egypt we need to book a place in market 19 May 2022
chair by using Revit MEP to have an advantage for making a new market
to compete with class A and B+ companies.
We want to make a new division in our company (EMCO TECH) using BIM
in our projects and manage our team to make 3D design and reality
detailed design which have a fixed time schedule and cost plan.
We can planning & managing & analyzing every part of any project and
make a marketing plan to improve our Market image & value.
We will target providing a high quality coordinated design for any project
in short time by low cost and cooperate with many companies to deal
with as out sourcing company.
12
PROPLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
We face some problems in our projects specially in installation phase such as time
schedule of items, ordering items, cost plan, sub contractor and final request (IR).
Solution is make a work sharing system connect a technical office with a project
manager by fixed time schedule and cost plan from A to Z to check a shop drawing,
coordination design, vendor list and request (IR) time.
And make a live work sharing system connect a store to a project manager that will
be updated everyday to check every single part in the store and order items that
required.
Make a hierarchy system to all the team and job description for every worker in the
project made by project manager. 19 May 2022
13
BENEFITS FOR EMCO TECH
1. We will make a new market track by using Revit MEP and Navis Work to design, shop
drawing and coordination plan.
2. Every part in the project will be planed and estimated by time and cost.
3. Cooperate with large numbers of companies in this field and will be out sourcing
design for the others.
4. Make a new image for our company by marketing our 4D, 5D, 6D, 7D design.
5. Make a risk plan and plan B for every phase in our project to be ready for any
problems in any time in the future.

MARKET ANALYZATION
Any market have a 3 items for success which are (need – want – demand) and we
analyzing market by using this items.
Our market in Egypt need BIM management for any cycle in the engineering
system as we said latterly. In the next 3 years tools of BIM (Rivet MEP, Navis work
and Dynamo) will be Irreplaceable. Market will go to using VR (Virtual reality)and
AR (artificial intelligent reality) in the engineering system to marketing they
buildings and projects.
Our market want a solution for every cycle in the project and make it a reality
design before start building it. They want a high quality 3D design to persuade.
Every construction company demand a specific requirements for engineering 19 May 2022
system which will only made by BIM technology and 7D (with facilities
management). Smart houses and BMS (building management system) will be
demand in Egypt soon. We can just make all these requirements by using BIM
technology.
26
MARKET RESERCH PLAN
Our STP plan (segmentation – targeting – positioning) is examine what we need in
this phase to make our scope in the next 5 years.
Our segmentation is class (A, B+) consulting offices and construction companies that
needed to hard compete in Egypt market and make a projects in out of Egypt for any
country.
Our targeting is focusing to be an out sourcing design company that targeting
businessman, owners of cities and compounds and military projects. Then in the next phase
we jump on many projects with a work plan for building cycle.
To positioning our image we will make a media plan and 3D videos for our projects from A
to Z with all information about timing, budget and facilities.
19 May 2022
27
ENVIRONMENTAL SCANNING
Egypt will face economical drop in this year and that will affect on construction field
and required materials in every phase.
We planning to focus on drawing and to be out sourcing design using BIM for
companies and make a fixed market chair in Egypt.
We can’t control on politics and economics in Egypt but we can adapt by focusing
military and investment projects.
We can make partnership with major companies for construction.

SAMMARY
We suggest to make a Modeling Division for using BIM and Modeling to book a
place of the market chair in Egypt. And to keep up with major companies in our
market.
We suggest to solve some problems by suggestions in our company to move on and
to make a new image for the Egyptian market.
We will make a new marketing method for our company to promoting in the market
chair and expand at the future.
We are looking for increase our profit and work on many projects to promote our
class to class A company.
