Personal History Introduction Zach Parise is a very talented hockey player. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 28, 1984. Zach Parise still plays hockey for the New York Islanders. Zach Parise is well-known because he won a silver medal at the 2010 Olympics. Early Life Zach Parise grew up in Minnesota. He watched his father play for Team Canada for hockey, so Zach was always around hockey. Zach Parise had one sibling, Jordan. Family Zach Parise’s father was Jean-Paul Parise. He played professional hockey for the Boston Bruins, the Minnesota North Stars, and the New York Islanders. Zach Parise’s mother was Donna Parise. His brother Jordan was a goaltender for the New Jersey Devils. Zach Parise is married to Elisha Woods. They have two twin children. Education Zach Parise went to high school at Shattuck St. Mary’s. He went to college at the University of North Dakota. In Zach’s fi rst game as a freshman, he scored a hat trick. That year Zach earned the Hobey Baker Award, an award given to the most talented hockey player in the country.


Career Zach Parise was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 2003 NHL Draft. In 2009 Zach Parise was named an NHL All-Star. In addition to this, in 2011, Zach Parise led the New Jersey Devils to a Stanley Cup Final but lost in six games. Shortly after losing Zach Parise was traded to his hometown favorite team, the Minnesota Wild. He was a fan favorite and in 2020, Zach Parise played his 1000th game in his NHL career. Zach Parise currently is a forward for the New York Islanders. Conclusion Zach Parise always dreamed of playing for the Minnesota Wild and the dream came true. Zach Parise inspired all kids across Minnesota to play hockey. Zach Parise will always be remembered in Minnesota and across the NHL.
