Flower Represented
WILD IS BETTER
When examining flowers this season it’s important to look at how they’re
represented in illustration, arrangement, and offering. We like a looser
arrangement that focuses on the individual flowers with a lot of neg-
ative space around them. This is a similar treatment to the chinoiserie
style. But has different definite modern representations. The slow flower
movement will affect how others percieve what we are selling.

Zinc and Metal
Tole Memorial
Floral Wreath
RETURN TO THE ORIGINAL
Rare, and exceptional, this Antique French Tole Floral
Wreath is a treasure. Most likely a memorial wreath,
made of metal and zinc, this flowered wreath is a one-
of--kind decorative object you could find in an obscure
anitque shop in Paris, or at a fleamarket in Provence.
{we won’t tell that you didn’t find it there!} This wreath
is made of zinc metal leaves which have been painted
green, and accented with flowers of metal, large rose
blooms and smaller blossoms, daisies and hydrangea
blooms. Colors are white, cream, yellow, blue, pink.
Delicate and very appealing, wreaths like this were used
in the mid to late 19th century at wedding celebrations,
births, and other important holidays by a family, then
finally as a grave decoration. There is a lot of wear, as
is to be expected, some of the leaves have broken off
pieces {and they are very sharp!} this piece has patina,
stories, and history. The base wires were wrapped in flo-
ral taping long ago, and some of the pieces were rewired
over the decades. Please only purchase this if you love
decorative pieces for your home that wear the grace of
time, this is shabby as the photos show this is. That it
survives us a miracle in itself. Measures: 18” x 16”.
