Roswell Convention & Civic Center

Several years ago, senior sales consultant Shawn Mills and the technical
crew from ListenUp in Albuquerque designed and created an advanced
home entertainment and automation system for a residence in Roswell,
New Mexico. On that job we worked extensively with the electrical
contractor, J&G Electric, and when they started on a project for the city of
Roswell, they recommended us to do the audio/video & control system.
“The city had begun a remodel and expansion of the Convention & Civic
Center,” says James Dunn of J&G. “We brought ListenUp to the table,
and the city gave them a list of things they wanted done. ListenUp
did a great job with everything, which is why we always feel
comfortable recommending them.”

Our portion of the project included removing and replacing the video
monitors, projectors and screens, speakers and control and scheduling
systems in the existing parts of the complex, including multiple
conference rooms and larger areas. We also designed and installed
systems for the new construction. In the city council room, for instance,
we created an interface with the live cable TV broadcast of the meetings.
The job also expanded to include installing display monitors in the
recreation center, and front-projection video, audio and control for two
training rooms in the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish.
