Our Mission
"To light an awareness of the opportunities
available culturally and to affirm a commitment
to the academically gifted, yet financially
disadvantaged youth of today, encouraging
them to become our global leaders of
tomorrow."
BAFTX was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
by the British American Business Council in
2006 as a beacon going forward into the future
to help provide financial assistance and
educational opportunities to academically
gifted students in the United States and the
United Kingdom who otherwise might not be
able to pursue their education due to financial
constraints.
BAFTX awards academic scholarships at various
increments to support aspiring middle school,
high school, undergraduate and postgraduate
students. BAFTX provides opportunities to excel
here in Texas, or to attain global education,
with academic exchanges between the UK and
USA as well as UK-based programs for students
from Texas. Travel broadens both minds and
horizons and solidifies the existence of a world
beyond the realms of the school bus perimeter.
The primary focus of educational scholarships
from BAFTX is in the fields of STEM and
International Business.

This year, due to COVID-19 and the related circumstances beyond our control,
we were unable to host our annual Awards Ceremony. This event usually
brings together our scholars, their families, our benefactors, board and special
guests to celebrate our students' success, look forward together at the bright
futures ahead of them and of course, to show thanks and appreciation for our
benefactors.
In the absence of a physical event, we asked our scholars to provide videos
expressing gratitude for our benefactors, These have been shared and many

videos that demonstrate the impact and value of our programs.
