Adverb of frequency 2. กลุ่มที่ระบุควำมถี่แบบชี้ชัด (adverb of definite frequency) โดยจะเป็นตัวที่ระบุชัดเจน เลยว่ำถี่ขนำดไหน อย่ำงเช่น Hourly – ทุกชั่วโมง Every day – ทุกวัน Daily – ทุกวัน Every week – ทุกสัปดำห์ Weekly – ทุกสัปดำห์ Every month – ทุกเดือน Monthly – ทุกเดือน Every year – ทุกปี Yearly – ทุกปี Annually – ทุกปี Once a day – วันละครั้ง Twice a week – สัปดำห์ละ 2 ครั้ง Three times a month – เดือนละ 3 ครั้ง ยกตัวอย่ำงประโยคเช่น I drink milk once a day. ฉันดื่มนมวันละครั้ง I brush teeth twice a day. ฉันแปรงฟันสองครั้งต่อวัน She does her homework every day. หล่อนท ำกำรบ้ำนทุกวัน He visits his grandparents every month.เขำไปเยี่ยมปู่กับย่ำของเขำทุกเดือน ทั้งนี้ adverb of frequency ในกลุ่มนี้หลำยๆค ำสำมำรถท ำหน้ำที่เป็น adjective (ค ำที่ใช้ ขยำยค ำนำม) ได้ด้วย อย่ำงเช่นในค ำว่ำ weekly meeting ตัว weekly นี้ท ำหน้ำที่เป็น adjective ขยำยค ำว่ำ meeting ซึ่งจะแปลว่ำ “กำรประชุมประจ ำสัปดำห์”
Adverb of frequency หลักการใช้ adverb of frequency กำรใช้ adverb of frequency นอกจำกเรำจะต้องดูควำมหมำยของค ำแล้ว เรำยังต้องค ำนึงถึงต ำแหน่งใน ประโยคด้วย ต ำแหน่งในประโยค เรำจะแบ่งต ำแหน่งกำรใช้ adverb of frequency ในประโยคได้หลักๆ 3 แบบ คือกลำงประโยค ต้นประโยค และท้ำยประโยค 1. กลำงประโยค ต ำแหน่งกลำงประโยคเป็นเหมือนต ำแหน่งมำตรฐำนของ adverb of frequency นั่นก็คือทุกตัวจะ สำมำรถใช้ต ำแหน่งนี้ได้หมด (ยกเว้นกลุ่มที่ระบุควำมถี่แบบชี้ชัด เช่น every day, daily, weekly) โดยจะ แบ่งได้เป็น 3 กรณี 1.1 กรณีที่มีแค่ verb หลัก ถ้ำประโยคมีแค่ verb หลัก โดยที่ verb หลักนั้นไม่ใช่ verb to be (เช่น is, am, are, was, were) เรำสำมำรถใช้ adverb of frequency ไว้หน้ำ verb หลักได้เลย I always drink coffee in the morning. ฉันดื่มกำแฟตอนเช้ำเป็นประจ ำ (drink เป็น verb หลัก เรำสำมำรถใช้ always หน้ำ drink ได้เลย) We rarely see each other now. เดี๋ยวนี้พวกเรำนำนๆจะได้เจอกันที (see เป็น verb หลัก เรำสำมำรถใช้ rarely หน้ำ see ได้เลย) 1.2 กรณีที่มี verb หลักเป็น verb to be ถ้ำประโยคมี verb หลักเป็น verb to be (เช่น is, am, are, was, were) โดยทั่วไปแล้ว เรำจะใช้ adverb of frequency ไว้หลัง verb to be I am usually busy with work. ฉันมักจะยุ่งอยู่กับงำน He isn’t often late. เขำไม่ได้สำยบ่อยๆ แต่เรำอำจใช้ adverb of frequency ไว้หน้ำ verb to be เมื่อเรำต้องกำรยืนยันในสิ่งที่อีกฝ่ำยพูด หรือเมื่อเรำต้องกำรเน้น verb to be นั้น Jack: Is he usually late? แจ็ค: เขำมักจะมำสำยใช่มั้ย Anne: Yes, he usually is. แอน: ใช่ เขำมักจะมำสำย She was not as cheerful as she normally is. เธอไม่ร่ำเริงเหมือนปกติที่เธอเป็น 1.3 กรณีที่มี verb ช่วย ถ้ำประโยคมี verb ช่วย (เช่น can, could, may, might, will, would, verb to be ใน continuous tense, verb to have ใน perfect tense) เรำจะใช้ adverb of frequency ไว้ ระหว่ำง verb ช่วยและ verb หลัก (verb ช่วย + adverb of frequency + verb หลัก) People can sometimes make mistakes. คนเรำบำงทีก็สำมำรถท ำอะไรผิดพลำดได้ He has never been to Russia. เขำไม่เคยไปประเทศรัสเซีย
