“THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA”

Dear Members,
Happy New Year’s Greetings from the Management and Staff to all Members, Families
and Friends as we gradually recover from the various seasonal celebrations and enter a
new era.

Whilst awaiting the arrival of the “Year of the Rabbit” I am pleased to advise that,
amongst our collective New Year’s resolutions, there are many improvements as well as
exciting new events planned for the months ahead including replenished equipment and
improvements in and around the Club House and Golf Courses, with continued emphasis
on the family aspect of our Vision .

All activities are updated daily on the Group WhatsApp (+6019 263 6548)as well as the
website and may I encourage everyone to register if you have not done so already , so as
to ensure you don’t miss out on latest information. Of particular importance is the
renewal of the Kurnia Annual Golfers Insurance and may I urge you to contact
Membership Services at 03 2011 9119/233/411 for more information and assistance if
you have not already been notified.

The popular Monthly Medal for Ladies and Men will continue and various inter Club and
Travel plans are in the pipeline whilst our Culinary experts and outlets have exciting new
menus in store to suit all palates. Not forgetting the weekend live music at Le Conti
Connoisseurs Lounge and the variety of dishes available throughout the day at the
Golfer’s Terrace.

Yee Sang will be available at the Golfers Terrace and the Traditional Lion Dance and
Acrobatic Show will take place at the Club whilst the Banquet team have arranged
various promotions for those who wish to host functions for family or Company. Full

At the top of our list, with the support of the Yayasan Sime Darby, is the KLGCC’s
determination to be the leader of our community with continued emphasis on help for
the less fortunate and the embellishment of our Eco-friendly environment. Please
remember to recycle your plastic bottles at our KLEAN RVM machine located at the Golf
Bagdrop area which will earn you rewards from Grab, Boost TouchnGo and many others.

Continued emphasis on exercise being healthy but also being fun is highlighted in the
various programmes available from G&A Fitness Workout who have a range of Yoga,
Pilates and Barre to suit all figures and age groups. For the dedicated followers the
KLGCC Gymnasium has recently been reequipped and qualified attendants are available
to guide you through a range of routines.

There are indeed exciting times ahead and may I wish all our members a happy Chinese
New Year and may the New Year bring good health, peace and happiness to you all whilst
remembering to follow all relevant procedures especially if you are driving over the
holiday period,

Happy New Year everyone!!
How time flies!

It is hard to believe that we are already in 2023 and let us hope that the trials and
tribulations of Covid and related problems are behind us and we can look forward to an
exciting and fruitful year ahead as we hop into the Year of the Rabbit.

I know that the Management team is already working on an exciting and
fulfilling programme of activities and events for all Members of the KLGCC Family,
whilst the variety of culinary delights to suit all tastes are increasing all the time with the
addition of a delicious range of seafood delicacies available from the Victoria harbour
including Dim Sum with Prawn Dumplings and Crusted Buns!

The highly trained F&B Team are always looking to widen the range of
delicious food and it is evident that the KLGCC is fast becoming a
gastronomic centre for those who wish to dine away from the City in the relaxing
environment of our Club with its easy parking and affordable prices whilst
enjoying a range of high quality culinary delights.

It was encouraging to see the large turnout for the President’s Trophy last month and my
heartiest congratulations to Datuk Fariz Nazrul, handicap 9, who scored 43 points
with 1st R/Up : Santhakumar scoring 42 points and 2nd Runner Up : Moh Chu
Leong , 40 points on countback. There were various Novelty prizes and it was good to
see the fine spirit of camaraderie with which the event was held. Indeed may I encourage
Members to register for our first Monthly Medal of the year so as to avoid
disappointment as we fine tune our skills in preparation for the golfing activity and
competitions that lie ahead. We look forward to welcoming Visitors and Reciprocal
Members from Overseas and around Malaysia who want to enjoy the experience of
playing on our internationally acclaimed golf courses with our world class facilities,
all of which are within our unique environment.

Indeed, it is interesting to note the increasing number of retail outlets and services that
aspire to becoming tenants as our reputation grows as being the caring focal point of the
Community around us.

Whatever your involvement with the Club, please do not hesitate at any time to provide
feedback to the Management Team who I know are anxious to provide the highest
standard of service at every level.

Lastly, I would like to wish all our members a happy Chinese New Year and may the year
ahead bring good health, Peace and Happiness to you and your family wherever they be
as we strive to thrive in harmony and build a brighter future together .

The club wishes to remind all members who do
not have a valid handicap (WHS) to sign-up for
a handicap test. The test is conducted by the
HCP committee of KLGCC and is free of
charge. Please refer to the handicap test
schedule below.

HOW TO SIGN UP

• Register at golf counter to reserve your preferred time slot.
• Each session requires a minimum of 3 candidates.
• Before the on-course handicap test, each candidate is required to :

a) answer a set of questionnaires pertaining to golf etiquette and basic rules of golf. This set of questionnaires
is available at the golf counter and has to be completed and submitted 3 days before the handicap test.

b) submit to the handicap tester, 3 score cards of 18 holes (or a combination of 9 holes) for games that you
have played recently.

• Results of the handicap test will be issued 3 days after the test.

Sime Darby Property Annual Dinner

The night was filled with enthusiastic staffs ready to celebrate their achievements, ready to let loose and enjoy
themselves after a productive year. Held in Sime Darby Convention Centre grand ball room and themed
“Dancing through the Decades”, every member of staff came dressed to impress in a costume appropriate to
their chosen decade's style of dance. Great food was served, and live action stalls with all sorts of desserts were
available all night at the foyer. Truly Sime Darby Property clearly knows how to host an event.

A Christmas to Remember at Golfer Terrace

Turkeys, Christmas pudding, clowns, Christmas songs, charcuterie boards, Pumpkin pies, everything smells like
Christmas at Golfers Terrace Annual Christmas buffet. Taking place on Saturday, 24 December 2022, the

restaurant was light up with Christmas décor and live band playing classic Christmas song. Guest were lining up
for the buffet while the kids were entertained by the clown and not just that Santa came to visit with some
goodie bags too! Parents while busy having merry conversations with one another can be seen smiling and
dancing through the night.

TGACC Annual Charity Masquerade

Tournament room KLGCC was hosting a one-of-a-kind event. TGACC annual charity and golf competition
event, took place on December 23rd, 2022, featured a wide range of vendors, a live band, and a special

appearance by Joanne Kam. Even though it rained much of the night, the guests nonetheless had a good time.

Booking: 1) Court may be booked for a maximum of two (2) hours per booking.

Booking may be made in person at the Sports Counter or by telephone at +603-2011 9188 ext 446 during operation hours;
2) Booking has to be made up to three (3) days in advance. Each member is permitted to book only one court for each session of play;
3) Any member wishing to cancel his/her reservation must do so at least four (4) hours prior to his/her playing time.

Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee of RM25 charged and debited to his/her account.
