Let’s Paint Club Ages 5-12 Tuesday’s 6pm-7pm Dates: 1/16, 2/12, 3/12 @ the Armando Center Fee: $30.00 per class Crafting Corner Grades K-5 Wednesday’s 4:30pm-6:30pm Dates: TBA (Wednesday’s once a month) @ the Armando Center Fee: $25.00 per class This program is seasonal! Come test your creative skills with some fun art projects all based on the fall and winter season! Participants will be able to bring their art work home to enjoy for years to come. Each session is about 60 minutes of activity. I will provide foldable tables and chairs (if needed), art supplies, music, and fun. Please pack each child a water bottle and nut free snack (for the periodic pauses to allow the paint to dry). During the session, the children will be following along with me as we paint. At the end of the session, each child will have their own artistic 11”x14” painting to keep.

Take the first steps towards independe nce. Learn how to call 911, learn about choking prevention and relief, accident and fire protection, and basic first aid. We’ll watch an instructional video, discuss how to manage your time when you’re home alone for short periods, and explore scenarios through roleplaying. Grades 3-5. Join us for a Babysitting workshop and get CPR/AED certified, too! We'll cover how to react responsibly to medical emergencies, perform first aid for common childhood injuries, how to best call 911 and how to prevent and relieve choking. You'll be prepared to interview for a babysitting job, select safe activities for children of different ages and run your own babysitting business. You'll leave with a certificate of completion for babysitting, a First Aid book, and upon successful completion, you'll also be certified in CPR/ AED. Middle School Half Day Field Trips January 5th to Nashoba Tubing February 9th to Blue Hills Ski/Board Time: 12:00pm-5:00pm Students will check in with Canton Parks & Recreation staff as they are dismissed from school on each early release day at the Galvin Middle School (11:05am). Participants will have time to each lunch prior to boarding the bus for departure at 12:00pm. The bus will return to the Galvin Middle School for by 5:00pm and participants will check out with their parent or guardian. The goal of the “Mommy & Me Play Time” class to guide parents through fun and enjoyable activities that will help parents’ bond with their babies or toddlers in ways that are educational. Children as young as 6 months can come and interact with peers for the very first time, while parents have the opportunity to meet other parents/guardians in the community with children of the same age group.
