Canton Citizens,

We are excited once again to offer many of your favorite programs and services
along with some new additions to make you and your families stronger,
healthier, smarter and happier!

Our mission is to enrich the lives of all citizens through diverse and innovative
recreational programs and services. With a focus on the arts, sports and
games, the outdoors, education, and community celebrations. We provide
both passive and active social opportunities that build community and inspire
personal growth. Our parks provide support for passive and active recreation
that contributes to enhancing the quality of life. We encourage citizens to
become active, responsible and engaged members of the community.

DEPARTMENT POLICIES
General: Registration is first-come, first-served. Participants are not fully registered for a
program until payment is received in full and all required forms have been received.
Canton Parks and Recreation reserves the right to photograph/film program participants
for publicity purposes including, but not limited to, social media, magazine, website, and
local media.
For walk-in registration, please make check or money order payable to: Town of Canton.
For online registration, we accept MasterCard, VISA, and Discover credit cards.
Refund Policy:
Participants who withdraw from a program, prior to the start date, are eligible for a full
refund less an administrative fee of 10%.
Requests for refunds must be in writing (email or letter) and include: Name of the program,
reason for the withdrawal, participant’s name, and address.
Refunds may take up to 3 weeks to process.
A refund forfeits the spot and cannot be transferred to another participant. The spot will
be offered to the next person on the wait list.

Dear Guardian / Participant,

Thank you for registering in our Canton Parks & Recreation Fall programs. We are extremely
excited to kick of the fall and start of the academic year with some fun and interactive
programs!

We have many new programs for all ages this season. With many new changes in the depart-
ment we are hoping for a lot of feedback and suggestions! If you have ideas for new
program or events in town please let use know! Our doors are always open!

We are looking forward to continuing the fun this Fall and hope you are as well!

Please do the following before the start of the program:
Read/review the safety information/protocols and discuss with the participant.
Let us know if your child has any asthma, pre-existing conditions, learning or
behavioral concerns so we can be prepared to make a positive experience
for them.

Please remember the following during the Fall season:
Call (781) 821 5030 and email when your child will be absent.
Be considerate of drop off and pick up times; you must arrive promptly at the correct
drop off/pick up window.
Please remember to label all of your belongings. (water bottle, sweatshirts, etc.)
Keep us informed about any problems, such as changes in health or routine, or anything
that might affect your child while in our care.

What to Bring:
Wear sneakers/closed toe shoes, and label all belongings.

Plan, pack and dress appropriately for the weather and the program you are registered
in.

Bring plenty of water and a healthy snack is optional for longer programs.
Inclement Weather:

If an outdoor program is impacted by inclement weather the department will either
move the program to an indoor space if available or postpone the program to a later
date. Due to schedule the department may have to cancel some programs if weather
is a continued

You will be notified by text and email if the program is canceled or concluded early for
the day and your child will need to be picked up immediately.

Karate Classes @ Satori Ryu Karate All classes are taught in a fun, energetic, positive
September 12th—October 18th (6 weeks) environment with focus on, How to Behave in A
Mondays: Ages 4-7 3:50pm-4:25pm Classroom Situation, Basic Karate Skills, Improvement of

Skyhawks Multi– Sport @ Super Tots Multi-Sport (Soccer and Baseball)
Pequitside Farm Multi-Sport is a development program that uses a variety of fun
games to engage kids while teaching the sport of baseball, soccer,

Mountain Biking @
Windsor Wood

Youth Group Mountain Bike Ride (Ages 8-14) Join the Canton Parks & Recreation for a group mountain bike ride!!
This program promotes safe riding skills in a fun environment. The program takes place on trails at Windsor Woods.
Learn basic skills in this great outdoor sport where everyone participates and no one sits on the bench! Groups will be
broken down by age and ability. Riders must be able to comfortably ride a two wheeler on pavement and non[1]
pavement. This program is best suited for children with an interest in learning more about mountain biking,
participating in group rides and a desire to put in some effort. Minimum equipment requirements: A bike with gears
and handbrakes, a cycling helmet. This program is FREE but participants must register prior to the event.

Paint Club @ Each session is about 60 minutes of activity (depending

create your own personal masterpiece. We will listen to

About Billy Armando

Billy Armando was born and raised in Canton. He spent his life helping
to make Canton a better place to live for all of its residents, young and
old. Mr. Armando’s lifetime of leadership and community service made
a huge impact on the town. The proceeds from this tournament will
benefit the various recreation programs that Billy started as a
Playground and Recreation Commissioner, as well as provide
scholarships to two of Canton’s graduating high school seniors.
