What is the World Wide Web?
The World Wide Web, also called the Web, this is an information system where
documents and other web resources are identified by Uniform Resource Locators
(URL), which may be interlinked by hypertext, and are accessible over the internet.
The resources of the Web are transferred via the Hypertext Transfer Protocol
(HTTP) and may be accessed by users by a software application called a web
browser and are published by a web server.

What is the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)?
Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is the standard markup language for
documents designed to be displayed in a web browser. It can be assisted by
technologies such as Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and scripting language such as
JavaScript.

How are these two concepts connected?
Hypertext is one of the key underlying concepts of the of the World Wide Web
where Web pages are often written in the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).
As implemented on the Web, hypertext enables the easy-to-use publication of
information over the internet.

What is Hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP)?
HTTP is the protocol used to transfer data over the web. It is part of the Internet
protocol suite and defines commands and services used for
transmitting webpage data.
HTTP uses a server-client model. A client, for example, may be a home computer,
laptop, or mobile device. The HTTP server is typically a web host running web
server software, like Apache or IIS. When you access a website,
your browser sends a request to the corresponding web server and it responds with
an HTTP status code. If the URL is valid and the connection is granted, the server
will send your browser the webpage and related files.

What is a Hyperlink?
A Hyperlink is a unidirectional (moving or operating in a single direction) link in
an electronic document. Hyperlinks can connect two different documents as well
as various sections in the same document. A text enriched with hyperlinks is called
a hypertext.

How are Hyperlinks and Hypertext transfer protocol Connected?
In order for hyperlinks to transport you to your desired web page, The hypertext
would request to join the web page.
What is a web server?

A web server is software and hardware that uses HTTP (Hypertext Transfer
Protocol) and other protocols to respond to client requests made over the World
Wide Web.
The main job of a web server is to display website content through storing,
processing and delivering webpages to users.

What is A Web Page?
A web page or webpage is a document, commonly written in HTML, that is
viewed in an Internet browser.
A web page can be accessed by entering a URL address into a browser's address
bar.
It is often used to provide information to viewers, including pictures or videos to
help illustrate important topics. A web page may also be used as a method to sell
products or services to viewers. Also, multiple web pages make up a website.

How are Web Pages and Web servers Connected?
A web server is a computer that hosts a website and on that a website is a
collection of web pages. In order to access a web page, you need a web server to
host the website.

What is a File transfer Protocol?
A File transfer protocol. Is a standard Internet Protocol for transmitting files.
Between computers. On the Internet over TCP/IP connections. FTP is a client
server protocol where a client will ask for a file and a local or remote server will
provide it.

What is a Web Browser?
A web browser is a software application for acceding information on the world
wide web. When a user requests a web page from a particular website, the web
browser retrieves the necessary content from a web server and then displays the

page on the user’s device. They are also operated by something known as search

engines.
How are the two connected?
Since the file transfer protocol is basically the transfer of files you would need the
information so that it can be transmitted. Now that info thee is gathered by the web
browser and also the web browser could teach you the uses of the FTP.

What is a URL?
A URL (Uniform Resource Locator) also referred to as a web address is a

unique identifier used to locate a resource on the internet. URLs consist of multiple
parts -- including a protocol and domain name -- that tell a web browser how and
where to retrieve a resource. URLs occur most commonly to reference web pages
(http), but are also used for file transfer (ftp), email (maillot), database access
(JDBC), and many other applications.

What is Upload?
Upload means to transfer digital computer files from a client to a server. An

example of uploading is transferring a video from a smartphone to a website, or
transferring a PDF from a laptop to an archive website.

What is Download?
Download means to transfer digital computer files from a server to a client.

An example of downloading is transferring a GIF from a website to a smartphone,
or transferring a PDF from an online archive onto a desktop computer.

What is an Email?
Email, short for "electronic mail," is one of the most widely used features of

the Internet, along with the web. It allows you to send and receive messages to and
from anyone with an email address, anywhere in the world.

How are these terms connected?
Firstly, as the word download suggests it is basically transferring files to a certain
device, now in order for these files to reach that device they would need to be
uploaded to your phone. Now URL’s are used to find specific websites example
Email. We would use emails to send download links to other people.

Download- Upload- These two are related because a file first needs to be
downloaded before it could upload unto a certain device.

Hyperlinks- HTML- A text enriched with hyperlinks is called a hypertext.

HTTP- Web Browser- HTTP helps the web browser in acceding information over
to the world wide web.

Email- WWW- The Email is Basically a web page which is on the World Wide
Web.

URL-Webpage- It is given to a web page to show its location on the World Wide
Web.

URL- WWW-Helps to find webpages since each has a specific web adress.
