Our “ALL STARS” will strive to develop a variety of skills related to individual and team sports

while playing exciting and fun games. They will also learn about the importance of good

nutrition, team-building, friendship, and communication. Due to the varying ages, this

program allows for older students to take on leadership and mentoring roles while setting

Ahoy Pirates!

Come and swim for the Mount Olive Pirate Swim Team!
Coach Dan and Coach Thomas are back at the helm and we hope to have all of our
wonderful swimmers return to the team! For those of you who are new to our swim
team and would like to consider joining us, we would be happy to have you! We are a
competitive swim team and we compete in the North Jersey Regional Lake League. Our
swim team practices will be held in the mornings, Monday – Friday and are broken out
by age group. The season runs from late June through the first week of August. We

have 12 dual swim meets, both home and away at neighboring lakes. We also
participate in the league’s Ribbon meet, Silvers meet and the End of Season
Championship meet. Check our website in the coming weeks for additional details
regarding practices, registration, volunteer requirements, team suits and other

PEAK Walk/Run 5K Fundraiser

Come out for a day of fun and help raise money for programs for special needs children in Mt
Olive and the surrounding areas

There will be food trucks and give aways in addition to the walk/run event. Each participant
registered by 5/15 will receive a t-shirt.

August 1-August 4 @ Turkey Brook Park Activity Field

Petite Equestrian Program (PEP) ages 3-6

Cost: $210 Time: 9:00am - 10:30am

This program operates for 1.5 hour for four sessions. Designed for our younger riders (3-5

years old), participants will learn about safety, horse anatomy, horse tack, and grooming as

well as riding the small and medium sized ponies under the guidance of our counselors.

Children will learn balance and coordination while playing games on horseback. Parent

participation is encouraged. Children must come wearing closed-toe shoes and bring helmets.

Pony Grooming & Riding Program (PGRP) ages 7-13

Cost: $250.00 Time: 10:45am – 12:45pm
This program operates for 2 hours for four sessions. Participants will learn safety, hands-on

The structure of each weekly camp will address a variety of fitness
activities, cooperative activities as well as nutrition, goal setting, self-

architectural projects such as energy catapults, shield generators and
defense turrets.

The Force is strong in this class. Build complex machines and structures based on

Participants will learn the fundamental elements of basketball in a non
competitive atmosphere. Focus for grades 3 - 5 will be on basic skill
development, such as dribbling, passing, shooting, footwork, ball handling, basic
defensive skills, team work, station drills, games and lectures geared to their age
to help better understand the game, and more. Grades 6 – 8 will primarily focus

Learn to Stand Up Paddle (SUP)
on Budd Lake

Sunday June 26th at the Budd Lake Beach
Free demo and equipment sale.

Stand Up Paddling is a fun and easy way to take advantage of our local lakes, oceans and
waterways.

It is fantastic exercise and can be done by people of all ages.
This summer, Stand Up Paddle Board Lessons will be offeredby a certified WPA (World

Paddling Association) instructor certified in Basic First Aid and CPR. He is also the
Watersports and Ski buyer for Pelican Sport Center in Morris Plains.
When: 5 - 6:30 pm Sundays from May 29th to September 4th

Basic Sailing

by Morris Chapter of SEAS
(Society for the Education of American Sailors)

SEAS is a not-for-profit 501c(3) educational organization dedicated to teaching basic
sailing with emphasis on safety. Learn how to sail and sailing theory using a mix of boats
that permit students to learn to sail both single sail and multi-sail boats on the safety of
Budd Lake. SEAS Certified instructors teach all courses. Successful students receive a
SEAS Certificate in Basic Sailing and current year membership in SEAS. Water sessions
provide 16 hours of practical supervised experience but are subject to rescheduling due
to inclement weather (arranged per instructors). Each student must supply a PFD (life
jacket) for the water sessions.
Textbook is included in the fee. Any student under 18 must be accompanied by a
