ในช่วงเวลาทม่ี คี ่าน้ี ผมขอประกาศ “พนั ธสญั ญา E8 ของบรดิ จสโตน (Bridgestone E8 Commitment)” อย่าง
เป็นทางการใหเ้ พ่อื นพนกั งานทุกท่านไดท้ ราบพรอ้ มกบั สงั คม, พนั ธมติ ร, และลกู คา้ ของเรา

ในขณะท่เี รายดึ มนั ่ ใน “ดเี อ็นเอของบรดิ จสโตน” มาตลอดจนก้าวเขา้ สู่ปีท่ี 91 เราได้กําหนด “พนั ธสญั ญา E8
ของบรดิ จสโตน (Bridgestone E8 Commitment)” ข้นึ มาเพ่อื เป็นแกนหลกั ในการขบั เคล่อื นการบรหิ ารภายใน
ของกลุ่มบรษิ ทั ในเครอื บรดิ จสโตน ควบค่ไู ปกบั การสรา้ งความไวว้ างใจและความน่าเช่อื ถอื ใหก้ บั คนรนุ่ ตอ่ ไปใน
อนาคต ในปี ค.ศ. 2031 บรดิ จสโตนจะฉลองครบรอบ 100 ปี บน “เส้นทางบรดิ จสโตน 3.0” สู่การเป็นองค์กร
ผสู้ ง่ มอบโซลชู นั่ อย่างยงั ่ ยนื

ในโอกาสครบรอบ 90 ปีของการกอ่ ตงั้ บรษิ ทั ผมไดพ้ ดู ถงึ หลกั ความเชอ่ื ของผกู้ อ่ ตงั้ และประวตั ศิ าสตรข์ องบรษิ ทั
ในเครอื บรดิ จสโตนตงั้ แต่ปี ค.ศ. 1931 (ยุคบรดิ จสโตน 1.0) สู่ “พน้ื ฐานท่ี 2” ทเ่ี ราไดค้ วบรวม บรจิ ดสโตนและ
ไฟรส์ โตนเขา้ ดว้ ยกนั ในปี ค.ศ. 1988 (ยคุ บรดิ จสโตน 2.0) สู่ “พน้ื ฐานท่ี 3” ในปี ค.ศ. 2020 (ยคุ บรดิ จสโตน 3.0)
ซ่งึ หวงั วา่ ทกุ ท่านจะเขา้ ใจในดเี อน็ เอของบรดิ จสโตนทเ่ี รายดึ มนั ่ มาตลอดไดอ้ ย่างดยี งิ่ ขน้ึ และผมรสู้ กึ ซาบซง้ึ ใจท่ี
ทุกคนมคี วามเขา้ ใจในดเี อน็ เอและพยายามขบั เคล่อื นการปฏริ ปู องค์กร (CX) ใหก้ ้าวหน้าไปอย่างต่อเน่ืองตงั้ แต่
เรม่ิ เขา้ สยู่ ุค “บรดิ จสโตน 3.0” ตลอด 2 ปีทผ่ี ่านมา มงุ่ เน้น “การลงมอื ทาํ ” และ “การส่งมอบผลลพั ธ”์ ดว้ ยวธิ กี าร
ทํางานอย่างทะเยอทะยานและจิตวญิ ญาณท่ีท้าทาย และในปี ค.ศ. 2022 น้ี ด้วยความเขา้ ใจอย่างลึกซ้ึงใน
“พนั ธสญั ญา E8 ของบรดิ จสโตน (Bridgestone E8 Commitment)” ผมหวงั อย่างยงิ่ วา่ น่จี ะเป็นจุดเรมิ่ ตน้ ทด่ี ขี อง
เราในการเดนิ หน้าสู่เป้าหมาย “ในปีค.ศ. 2050 บรดิ จสโตนจะยนื หยดั เพ่อื ส่งมอบคุณค่าใหแ้ ก่สงั คมและลูกคา้
ในฐานะองคก์ รผสู้ ง่ มอบโซลูชนั่ อย่างยงั ่ ยนื ”

ตามท่ีได้อธิบายไว้ในสารจากผู้บริหารเม่ือวนั ศุกร์ท่ี 4 กุมภาพันธ์ 2565 ท่ีผ่านมา “พันธสัญญา E8 ของ
บริดจสโตน (Bridgestone E8 Commitment)” ประกอบด้วยคุณค่า 8 ด้าน ท่ีเร่ิมต้นด้วยตัวอกั ษร E ได้แก่
(Energy ด้านพลงั งาน, Ecology ด้านส่ิงแวดล้อม, Efficiency ด้านประสิทธภิ าพ, Extension ด้านการเตบิ โต,
Economy ด้านเศรษฐกิจ, Emotion ด้านความรู้สึก, Ease ด้านความสะดวกสบาย, Empowerment ด้านพลงั
สงั คม) ซ่งึ สะทอ้ นถงึ ความเป็นบรดิ จสโตน ทงั้ ดา้ น “เจตนารมณ์” และ “กระบวนการ” ในการสรา้ งสรรค์และส่ง
มอบคุณค่าใหแ้ ก่สงั คม พนั ธมติ รและลูกคา้ ของเราเพ่อื สงั คมทย่ี งั ่ ยนื ดงั นัน้ ความแขง็ แกร่งดา้ นกลยุทธแ์ ละการ
ปฏริ ปู “วฒั นธรรมองคก์ ร” จงึ มคี วามสาํ คญั อย่างมาก ดว้ ยพนั ธกจิ ทไ่ี มเ่ ปลย่ี นแปลงของเรา คอื “รบั ใชส้ งั คมดว้ ย

Dear teammates,

Hello, this is Shu Ishibashi, Global CEO.
Today, March 1st, 2022, the Bridgestone Group celebrates its 91st anniversary.
On this memorable day, I am officially announcing the launch of our corporate
commitment, the ”Bridgestone E8 Commitment” to you, and to all of our stakeholders
including society, our partners, and customers.

While cherishing the Bridgestone DNA that we have built so far in our 91 year journey, we
have newly established the “Bridgestone E8 Commitment” as the axis to drive
management while earning the trust of future generations. Toward 2031, the Group’s
100th anniversary, we will accelerate the “Bridgestone 3.0 Journey,” our evolution to a
sustainable solutions company.

During last year’s 90th anniversary ceremony, I talked about the founder’s beliefs and the
Group’s history starting from our foundation in 1931 - Bridgestone 1.0, to the “Second
Foundation” with the merger of Bridgestone and Firestone in 1988 - Bridgestone 2.0, and
to the “Third Foundation” in 2020 - Bridgestone 3.0. I hope you were able to better
understand the Bridgestone DNA that we have acquired so far. I am also grateful to you for
empathizing with such DNA and putting in further efforts to drive the corporate
transformation (CX) these past 2 years from the start of Bridgestone 3.0, focused on
“execution” and “delivering results” with an “ambitious approach” and “challenging” spirit.
From 2022, through empathy of the “Bridgestone E8 Commitment,” I hope to mark a new
beginning together with all of you toward the realization of our vision “Toward 2050,
Bridgestone continues to provide social and customer value as a sustainable solutions
company.”

As I explained in the Global CEO message sent out on January 31st (Mon), the “Bridgestone
E8 Commitment” consists of 8 Bridgestone-like values starting with the letter “E” (Energy,
Ecology, Efficiency, Extension, Economy, Emotion, Ease, and Empowerment) that we,
through Bridgestone-like “purpose” and “process,” will commit to creating together with
society, our partners, and customers to support the realization of a sustainable society.
To do this, reinforcement of our “corporate strategy” and transformation of our
“corporate culture” is necessary. Guided by our unchanging Mission of “Serving Society
with Superior Quality” and building on Bridgestone’s DNA including “focus on quality,”

“respect for ‘on-site’ (Genbutsu-Genba)” and “staying closer to customers and solving their
problems,” we will accelerate our Bridgestone 3.0 Journey with the 8 “E”s in the
“Bridgestone E8 Commitment” as guiding vectors.
The journey ahead is sure to contain many obstacles, including the pursuit of both social
and customer value, and the pursuit of sustainability and corporate growth. However, I
hope to confront and overcome these challenges to continue advancing together with you
as a team.

Many of you may already have empathized with, and thought about the “Bridgestone E8
Commitment.” After watching messages from the management team and external
communication on this special occasion, I would like to ask you to think through again
about this commitment, and what you can commit to in your respective positions.

Last but not least, in accelerating our transformation, I would like to once again pose “3
questions” to you our teammates:
