■ To be very jealouse
■ Example – she was green with envy because her sister

always gets better treatment from thier mother.

■ To be skilled at gardening
■ Example – my father has a green thumb . He seems to be

able to grow anything in his garden .

■ Illegal trade
■ Example – some of the concerts tickets were sold on the

black market .

■ Be extremely clear
■ Example – this contract is in black and white ; we are not

allowed to bring in any visitors after 11 p.m.

■ Example – lets go and watch a movie tomorrow . Im feeling
