HOBBIT HOUSE

Hobbit house,
They were holes dug into the hillside,
I tried to enter for the first time,
Sneaking inside like it was a crime.

Smials, spacious and luxurious tunnels,
Fittings as you would expect in any other houses,
Fully furnished, tiled and carpeted and with wallpaper,
It's a souped-up version of the Hobbit-hole.

It's taken a moment to breathe,
Let the tears I hold not to seethe,
The walls around me are brown,
And the lost fairytale seemed to be found.

I thought about it 3 times over,
Biting my tongue and hand to cover,
It's taken a moment to see,
That way of living that could never be.

There’s something intriguing about Hobbit houses and the very
idea of living in one is exciting. Inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s
The Hobbit, Jim Costigan build a Hobbit shed in his
backyard in Pawling, New York which is crafted to
perfection.

The inspiration came from his childhood love for the series
when he first read the series in his seventh grade.
Combined with 57-year-old’s prowess in architecture and
support from his wife Jodi Costigan and four children, he
created this dream home.



Palais Bulles ("Bubble Palace") is a large house in Théoule-sur-Mer, near Cannes,
France, that was designed by the Hungarian architect Antti Lovag. It was built for
the French industrialist Pierre Bernard, and later bought by the fashion designer

Pierre Cardin as a holiday home.

The house comprises a reception hall, panoramic lounge, 500-seat open-air
amphitheatre, 10 bedrooms, various swimming pools and waterfalls in extensive

landscaped grounds.

The Palais has 29 rooms, 11 bathrooms, and ten bedrooms that have each been
decorated by a specific artist, including Patrice Breteau, Jerome Tisserand, Daniel

You, François Chauvin, and Gerard Cloarec.

Referred to an innovative cube house
designed by architect Piet Blom in 1984 based
on the concept of "living as an urban roof".This
cube house are located at Rotterdam on
Overblaak Street and beside the Blaak
Subway Station in Netherlands.The walls and
windows are angled at 54.7 degrees. The total
area of the apartment is around 100 square

meters.

To begin with, the floating house sprawls across 900 sq. m and has not
one, but two storeys. The villa is well equipped with four bedrooms
with attached washrooms, glass swimming pool, kitchen, living
room, balcony, two additional rooms for workers, and ample glass
flooring

The floating is attached with special hydraulic engines, which lets it float
on the water. With Dubai being a major tourist and investment
destination, the floating house will further improve the emirate’s
position. Besides, the lavish bedrooms, the project will also
feature a luxury hotel of 156 suites and rooms, as well as 12
residential floating boats.
