The Fight

The Fight

Do you wonder what it was like when
bucks were fighting my backyard? I’ll tell
you.

On November 23, 2018, I was having
grilled cheese with ham at my kitchen
table with Matthew when my mom said,
“We have deer in our backyard!”

I added “Are they bucks?”

Then my mom replied, “Come see for
yourself.”

So I ran to the window and for sure
bucks were fighting. They were

fighting nonstop. I asked, “Mom, do you
think that it hurts when their antlers hit?”

My mom replied, “No the antlers are
hard.”

They were not moving at all. We were
watching from our deck.

Later in the fight my neighbor came
out and watched from their outdoor
fireplace. I could smell the fire burning
from the fireplace. I moaned “Mom, this
is boring.” It was also cold outside.

The smaller buck gave up, and the
bigger buck won. I wanted the smaller

buck to win. What a fight. My neighbor
went inside. I groaned, “Mom, can we
go inside? I want to finish my sandwich.”
So then we went inside. It was an
awesome fight. “That was amazing!!!!”
yelled.

“What a fight”!!!!! we all yelled.

My mom exclaimed, “Boys, finish
your sandwiches.” After that I finished
my sandwich and went with my brother
to go watch T.V..

Then when I got bored of watching
T.V and I went to play my Kindle.

It’s amazing to think that animals fight
just like people.
