Different Principles

 Balance
 Proximity

 Space

Balance

 is the distribution of the visual weight of objects, colors, texture, and space.

Proximity

 is simply the process of ensuring related design elements are placed together.

Alignment

 refers to lining up the top, bottom, sides, or middle of text or graphic elements on a page.

Repetition

 the reusing of the same or similar elements throughout your design.

Contrast

 refers to the arrangement of opposite elements (light vs. dark colors, rough vs. smooth
textures, large vs. small shapes, etc.) in a piece so as to create visual interest, excitement
and drama.

Space

 refers to the area within, around, above or below an object or objects.
